Andrzej Szejna – Deputy Head of the Ministry of abroad Affairs called on Israel's Ambassador, Jakow Liwny, for a gathering on Friday. This discussion is intended to cover "new events in Polish-Israeli relations and issues related to moral, political and financial work for fresh events in the Gaza Strip".

"I invited the ambassador. I'm not going to give you the script for this conversation, my views on this substance are familiar. I want to talk to the ambassador about the fresh situation in Polish-Israeli relations and about moral, political and financial work for the event that took place late in the Gaza Strip," Deputy Minister of abroad Affairs told PAP.

He stressed that the organisation of the gathering was "very important" and, according to his assessment, would be "exceptionally beneficial to both parties". He stressed that "direct contact, presentation of positions and dialog are crucial for both Israel, our relations and the household affected by this tragic event."

Szejna stated that "he will have more to say after the meeting". "I want a individual conversation with the ambassador, not a political effect. I want us to talk about what's next, in a situation that is dramatic," he said.

"We will talk about different issues, and I will not present the script of this conversation, due to the fact that it will make in its course. The ambassador will arrive at the MFA in accordance with the diplomatic procedure, with my invitation and we will talk. The most crucial is the conversation, due to the fact that the situation is highly hard both in terms of the death of our citizen and in terms of our relations or humanitarian aid to Palestine. But I believe that erstwhile people talk to each other, they come to any conclusion. Without talks, nothing is achieved," he noted.
