Over a 1000 people took part in this year's Nationalist Column, which has been accompanying the independency March in Warsaw for respective years, gathering a crowd reminding of the roots and strict national character of the event. Although many people present want to erase this fact, it was the uncompromising, anti-liberal nationalists who were the originators, the first organizers and the main driving force of the March of Independence.
The column was organised by 2 cooperative environments for respective years – Autonomous Nationalists and National extremist Camp – whose roads came together on the occasion of the earlier 11th of November. Activists of both communities agreed that the way taken by current March organizers leads nowhere, completely blurring the ideas guiding its initiators. Strong emphasis of nationalism, without which there would be no independency March, is essential and a common column of extremist nationalists seems to be the best and full successful formula.
This expression worked well and this year, which is best demonstrated by the advanced attendance of participants, with a lower mobilization before the Column compared to erstwhile years. extremist nationalists are clearly arriving each year, and the Column has already gone far beyond the very form of transition "from point A to point B" in the March of Independence.
The Nationalist Column is simply a kind of activist platform, accompanied by respective another nationalist events preceding the march itself. As independency Day this year came on Monday, the preceding weekend was an perfect time for increased preparations going beyond, as has already been mentioned, the march expression itself.
And so, Sunday morning extremist nationalists welcomed in 1 of the capital sports clubs of the fight, where joint boxing training and K1 took place. In training but activists and activists AN and ONR, abroad guests besides arrived from the French movement Clermont Non Conformeand representatives of the pan-European environment Active Club from Czech Republic, Lithuania, Estonia, Denmark, Sweden or the Netherlands. It was a good chance not only to cross gloves, but besides to keep the athletics spirit of modern nationalism, assuming spiritual, intellectual and physical formation.
After sports activity, it was time for a discussion. The column-making nationalists from the sports club moved to the conference room, where 3 speeches were held. Representatives took the level ONR and AN, as well as an activist of the Italian movement CasaPound, whose activists became very many in Warsaw this year – headed by the leader of the movement, Gianluca Ianonne. The most attention was given to the issue of cognitive war, both from the Polish and Italian perspective, and the talker from ONR developed the mentioned thread about the phenomena of misinformation and manipulation. After closing the authoritative part of the discussion, nationalists along with abroad guests went on to integrate, assuming further exchange of experience and fresh findings before the organisation of the Nationalist Column.
On 11 November, at a pre-designated place, which was made public shortly before the march, the participants of the Column began gathering after 13 o'clock. Even before the formation of the chicle it was possible to announcement that not only this year's March, but besides organized inside the Column will evidence attendance. And as in erstwhile years, Polish nationalists in celebrating their most crucial vacation were supported by the already mentioned nationalists from another countries.
In addition to the above mentioned activists Clermont Non Conforme, CasaPound and Active Club, symbolism and national flags of nationalists from Greece, Slovakia, Germany, Hungary, Serbia, Croatia or Spain were besides noted. In the ranks of the Columns, the Americans from the organization besides reappeared Patriot Front. All together with Polish friends stood behind the beginning Column banner of "Blood Resistance: Yesterday, Today, Always". The sides of the columns were tied by banners presenting, among others, the attitude of Polish nationalists to the imperial strings of the Russian Federation (the "Baj kacapa in all form, due to the fact that it is your top enemy"), or the phenomenon of progressive immigration ("White countries for white people").
The entry of over a 1000 people of the column in the march of the another participants of the March was not the easiest task, as this year's attendance for 11 November was definitely record-breaking. The efficient work of the interior sports group, i.e. the orderly group, combined with the discipline of the participants, caused that among thousands of national flags, the ones with nationalistic symbols were one more time tampered with, and patriotic songs and shouts were joined by antisystemic and extremist slogans.
The banners surrounding the participants of the Column were not the only propaganda materials prepared for this year's March of Independence. erstwhile the nationalists switched to the right side of the Vistula River, a large banner was hung on the Poniatowski Bridge presenting a masked figure in a black costume – symbolizing, of course, the associate of the column. The characters were accompanied by the inscription "national resistance", as well as the crossed out logos of the Civic Platform and the Confederation, symbolically placed consecutively on the flags of Germany and the Russian Federation. This was a reminder that in the political reality, Poles are struggling with the activities of parties that carry out abroad interests in Poland, and nationalists intend to remind and powerfully argue this phenomenon. To make the message from the suspended banner on the bridge more clear, it was illuminated with a pyrotechnic light, which was fired both on top of the bridge and below it – among the participants of the Column.
The Nationalist column, as in erstwhile years, passed the full way of the independency March and had its final on the membranes of the national stadium. There, nationalists redeveloped their banners, which were additionally illuminated with racami and stroboscopes. Among the transparents on the membranes, the slogan “Si vis pacem, para bellum” (if you want peace, prepare for war) is presented as a reminder of the adaptation of our part of Europe.
The pyrotechnic show officially closed this year's Column, and its nationalists – both those straight active in the organization and those who have passed through Warsaw streets are preparing for further activities related to nationalist activity and formation. For this 1 was going on yesterday, it is going on today, and each nationalist must guarantee that it is always going on. We have it in our blood, just like opposition emphasized in our passwords and banners.
