Professor Zbigniew Izdebski, who coordinates the work on the programming basis of a fresh school subject, in which students are to be encouraged, among others, to engage in premature sexual activity, announced a fast examination by the ministry of thousands of protests concerning compulsory sex education.
The subject in which youths are to perceive to instructions maintained in the spirit of moral promiscuity and LGBT ideology, the ministry intends to introduce to schools from the school year 2025/2026. Mandatory alleged wellness Education is to replace the optional subject of household Education (WED).
This was opposed, among others, by the Coalition for the Salvation of the Polish School, bringing together over 70 social organizations. In early September, she addressed the Ministry with a petition, demanding "no fresh subject... covering sexual education" and respect for the constitutional rule of parental parenting precedence by leaving voluntary classes in schools that cover the subject of sexual education.
At the beginning of December, a protest was held in the capital Castle Square under the slogan “Yes for education, not for depravity”. The leaders of pro-family organizations, experts, including guests from abroad, then warned of the devastating effects that it would have for young generations to train them to loose life in isolation from lasting values, including the belief that sex life is regulated in a appropriate way only erstwhile it serves the family, a lasting marriage, and the birth of a fresh life.
The Warsaw demonstration inaugurated a series of public appearances against harmful elements of alleged wellness education. Participants encouraged parents and teachers from all over Poland to take work for the young generation and to actively argue systemic depravity.
The Polish Episcopal Conference, pointing to the harm that detached from morals can bring, besides pointed to the contradiction of any of the programming elements of wellness Education with the provisions of the Basic Act (Articles 48 and 53). The bishops noted that "sexual education under the Constitution remains the competence of parents, not the state".
Comments on the proposed programme basis could be made in the framework of a public consultation which ended on 21 November.
– Thousands of protests were reported to the MEN. any of them were of a substantive nature, while the large majority was repetitive and afraid world-view issues – said PAP educator, sexologist prof. Zbigniew Izdebski, coordinator of the interministerial wellness education team.
– That's why a public consultation was introduced so that as a team, we could consider those that are substantive – he noted. In his opinion, this should be done by Christmas.
Prof. Izdebski said that "the support of a number of institutions and organisations that expertly address the issues of education, health, education, prevention and substantive comments has been received". He added that the comments expressed "protest against the introduction of sexual wellness in wellness education", the introduction of the full subject or the abolition of the NDW were besides received. There are also, as he said, the words "talking about alleged violation of the Constitution in terms of parents' right to rise children."
Izdebski said that it is hard for the squad to address them. He pointed out that "health education does not fall into the competence of parents to rise their children". He argued that "the school has a work to transfer cognition and that is the constitutional right of children to education – to cognition based on investigation and technological facts".
The issue of sexual health, as he calculated, is 1 tenth of the full program. – You gotta look at the program as a whole, not start phobias and fantasies about it. – he said.
