Pastor Paul Chojecki's trial is coming to an end. On Monday 22 May at 12:30 a.m. another proceeding will be held before the Lublin Court of Appeal. This may be the last trial, and there will be no anticipation of appeal in Poland. Pastor of the fresh Covenant Church in Lublin and the editor-in-chief of tv Go Under Current is judged for the words given during sermons and speeches on the tv he founded. Will the pastor be convicted of words and views, or will the court respect the right of freedom of speech and freedom of religion that the Polish citizen has? This issue is an crucial standard of democracy in Poland. The erstwhile proceeding in the trial of Pastor Paweł Chojecki was held on 13 April. erstwhile the pastor left the court, he said:

On 13 April 3 pastors were testified to: pastor Henryk Skrzypkowski, associate of the Bureau of the Council of the Baptist Christian Church, pastor of the Baptist Congregation in Chełm, and pastor Ireneusz Dawidowicz of the Baptist Christian Congregation in Białystok, psychologist, vice president of the Association for Good Hope, and erstwhile priest Jerzy, retired pastor of the household church. They all showed that the words of Pastor Chojecki fit into the adopted framework of pastoral activity and the freedom of religion in force in Poland.
Many people gathered to support the pastor – not only in the courtroom, but besides in front of the court building. Support for the pastor was expressed, among another things, in the slogans “Freedom of word for everyone”, “Support Pastor Chojecki” and “We are going for freedom” placed on shirts and banners.
Pastor Paweł Chojecki said in a short speech after leaving the court:
“Three pastors present had the chance to present the gospel of free salvation, to show superstition and ignorance in our nation, to show errors and to guide people to the fact of God’s Word. It's started. [...] The only crime I have is that we have succeeded in preaching the gospel in Poland. And for this “crime”, if Poland considers it a crime, I am ready to bear any consequences. I hope you too."

The pastor of the Church of the fresh Covenant in Lublin is judged for his words – a fewer sentences from sermons and another programs broadcast by him on net TV, which did not like the group of haters and prosecutors of PiS. He was accused of insulting the spiritual feelings of Catholics, insulting Catholic spiritual objects, commending the initiation of an assault war against Communist North Korea and insulting the Polish Nation and the president of the Republic of Poland.
Let us callback that the court of first instance sentenced Pastor Chojecki to 8 months of restrictions on freedom in the form of social work. In addition, the pastor would pay the costs of proceedings in the amount of almost PLN 21 thousand. 4 appeals were filed for judgment. In defence of Pastor Chojecki, the appeal was made by the law firm of legal advisor Adam Wróblewski, the law firm of patron Andrzej Sawicki and the law firm of patron Andrzej Turczyn. The appeal was besides made by prosecutor Katarzyna Urban, demanding jail time.
