On Tuesday, July 8, police officers of the Central Bureau of Investigation in cooperation with the German police conducted an effective operation which ended in the release of a Syrian citizen kidnapped for ransom. The perpetrators demanded respective 100 1000 euros from his family. 3 men suspected of participating in the kidnapping were detained in Warsaw and Katowice.
Information about the abduction was received from the German side by officers of the Department of Pursuit Operations. According to the findings, the kidnapping took place 2 days earlier in Germany and the perpetrators were allowed to stay in Poland with the kidnapped person.
As shortly as the Shadow Hunters were informed, they began intensive operations. They rapidly established that the perpetrators and their victim were located at the office of 1 of the companies in the Warsaw territory of Italy. After confirmation of this information, a dynamic implementation was carried out with the participation of the officers of the Combat Department of CBŚP and the Warsaw Board of CBŚP. As a consequence of the action, 2 men – a citizen of Palestine and a citizen of Lebanon – were detained and a kidnapped Syrian was released.
The police gave the victim premed aid at the scene. His condition did not require hospitalization. In the course of further action it was established that another man was involved. On the same day, police officers from Katowice detained him in the city. besides detained is simply a Palestinian citizen.
During the search of the premises and vehicles belonging to the suspects, cell phones, clothing components, as well as clamps and tapes were secured, which could be utilized to immobilize the victim.
The detainees went to the territory Attorney's Office in Warsaw, where they heard allegations of kidnapping for ransom. Investigative information shows that the perpetrators demanded respective 100 1000 euros from the family. The court decided to apply temporary detention to all suspects.
