In fresh months, the Polish public has been shaken by information about many fires throughout the country, behind which Ukrainians are behind. In the comments related to these articles, it is emphasized that this subject is worrying and never occurred in Poland. However, it is worth giving attention to this issue.
Ukrainian panic in Poland in the past and today. Unless so many fires of Polish factories and companies took place in the latest past of our Homeland, our grandparents faced this problem, which was created by the chauvinist and terrorist activities of the CNS in order to intimidate and destruct Poles.
Between July and November 1930, Ukrainian chauvinists made about 2220 arsons, acts of beating and demolition of property. As a consequence of specified behaviours, the Polish side conducted pacifications in Ukrainian villages. The right reaction of the Polish side caused an global propaganda action aimed at Poland by the Ukrainian side. However, Ukrainian complaints were dismissed by the League of Nations Council on 30 January 1932, as pacifications by the Polish government considered to have been provoked by Ukrainian terror[1].
At the time Polish press reported, among others, the trial of murderers of the Polish Minister of the Interior indicated that A terrorist organization of the CNS planned in 1931 ... extend the terrorist action to Warsaw. However, these plans, specified as the bombing or arson of Warsaw railway stations or certain military facilities or warehouses ... soon at that time, it was abandoned[2].
During the trial, he testified, among others, to Wacław Żyborski, Head of the safety Department at the Ministry of Interior. In his statement, he confirmed that the CNS terrorist organization had utilized a peculiar arson technique, “as evidenced by the order of the chief of the college, which has come into the hands of the authorities. Order orders to usage vials, commonly called lighters. Cotton wicks, soaked in kerosene, as well as matches, were frequently found in grain stacks. Various chemicals were besides used, the combination of which produced fire’[3].
Given the fact that the cult of terrorists from the CNS-UPA is developing rapidly within the current Ukraine, as well as many instances of Ukrainians with Polish passports specified as Natalia Panchenko, who at the beginning of the year in an interview given to Channel 5 saidthat anti-Ukrainian rhetoric in Poland can lead to arson of houses and shops[4] causes more and more Poles to see how large a threat to security, and even sovereignty are in Poland Ukrainians raised on the cult of murderers of Poles, Jews, Hungarians, etc.
In anyone who has a white-red heart, questions arise: will the abandonment of anti-Polish rhetoric by Ukrainians end erstwhile their desires are fulfilled and treated as privileged in Poland? If so, in 2025, on the 1000th anniversary of raising the Crown of the Kingdom of Poland, does our nation inactive live in a sovereign country? Does the safety illusions should be paid by the glorifiers of OUN-UPA criminals?
