The snow, which snowed Szczecin, did not prevent parents and teachers from gathering on 11 January at the “YAK for education, NOT for depravation”. The event organised by the Education Teachers and Workers Association "Teachers for Freedom" and the Social Movement liable Szczecin brought together about a 1000 people protesting the implementation of sexeducation as part of a mandatory fresh subject – under the misleading name wellness Education.
At the beginning of the Szczecin protest by Zdzisław Piaseck from the Board of the Association “Teachers for Freedom”, she presented unacceptable entries of the draft programming basis of the fresh subject, comparing it with the withdrawn Education for household Life.
Grażyna Lubszczyk (Teachers for Freedom) raised the issue of teaching children – according to a fresh basis in classes IV-VI – about alleged different models of the household and undermining the authority of parents.
Agnieszka Pawlik-Regulska, president of the Association, presented a broader context for introducing wellness education, discussing earlier pseudo-reforms of Barbara Nowacka, the European Education Area and educational priorities during the Polish Presidency of the European Union.
The president besides presented the Coalition for the Salvation of the Polish School, which he is the coordinator of, encouraging us to join together, act together, not to halt in the fight "for the government of our children's souls", as well as to join the advice of parents in schools. She besides informed about the informal gathering of EU Ministers of Education on 21 January in Warsaw and the planned demonstration.
Paulina Tarnowska of the Szczecin Women's Club, to which 300 mums have been enrolled in 3 weeks, pointed out that the crucial thing about how to educate and rise children will affect the form of the full society and that care not only about their own children, but besides about the environment in which they grow.
She stressed that the cognition children should receive at school was intended to strengthen their preparation for a lasting relationship. The safest, healthiest space for the improvement of a kid is simply a household that is made up by loving spouses, a good example. And appropriate cooperation between adults, parents, relatives, and educators, is the best influence on the safety, wellness of children.
Włodzimierz Krajowski, the father of 5 children, representing liable Szczecin, talked about the fact that children, erstwhile watching their parent and father, are best taught love. He emphasized that he wanted to have a choice whether to send his children to classes on intimate life, due to the fact that it was his parents who knew best erstwhile and how to give them this content.
After the block of speeches, the participants marched to the Polish Action Monument where the president of the Sylwia Kloc Assembly of the Association “Teachers for Freedom” presented to parents the possibilities of action, encouraging them to organize further manifestations, to associate locally, to object to school principals, to compose to MEN.

The event – a model of the Warsaw manifestation of December 1st of last year – ended with a commitment by parents to defend children's innocence and sing the national anthem.
On Sunday, PSL president Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz reported that this item would not be mandatory. – I will calm everyone who protested – the subject will be optional, it will be the parents' decision. I think he will be deprived of any ideology—right or left. Youth education on wellness is needed, but must not be watered by any ideological sauce said the Minister of Defence.
The PSL leader added that he spoke about the subject with the Minister of Education Barbara Nowacka, Minister of Interior and Administration Tomasz Siemoniak and Prime Minister Donald Tuski.
