Purchased by the National Prosecutor's Office for the ruling PiS party's surveillance program Hermes, the intent of which was to analyse the data available on the network, besides had access functionality to information stolen by hackers and offered on the Darknet, designated as a dark web site, not accessible to most users.

The Hermes software case may be as crucial as the Pegasus case, utilized during the PiS regulation by peculiar services to illegally access the phones of opponents of power. The Regional Prosecutor's Office in Rzeszow is investigating Hermes, a search has already been made for the office of the National Prosecutor's Office, and data media related to the operation of this programme have been secured.

The Sejm, on the another hand, set up a Pegasus Investigative Commission to examine the legality, legitimacy and usefulness of the actions taken utilizing Pegasus software, including government and peculiar services. The Commission is besides curious in another akin tools specified as Hermes.
