After nearly 2 years of renovation, the street in the center of the city, i.e. the Legion street collapses. The inhabitants of Legion Street in fresh years have been incapable to number on peace. The renovation work, which paralyzed the full area importantly prolonged, made it hard for residents to access their own property, the area sank in the mud, and rats began to appear in any properties, which escaped construction machinery. Even after the completed works, residents cannot enjoy the fresh street. The cubes with which the street is lined collapse into holes on the way. akin phenomena could be observed by the inhabitants of Cemetery Street, which was renovated by the same company as the Legion Street. The company performing the renovation cuts off the charges by accusing the architect who was liable for the renovation project.
For the inhabitants of Łódź, repair problems are not new. Among the inhabitants it is jokingly said that if any renovation had ended on time and it would not require an amendment it would be a truly large surprise. Unfortunately, for years, officials have been doing nothing to improve the supervision of urban investment. The city's power is passively watching without responding to the appeals of the city's people.
