President Dan Cecil asked if I could share what was happening in my hometown of Springfield and the Haitian refugees who settled in our community.
In the last 4 years, Haitians who have crossed the border (or actually flew to our country as refugees) have received temporary position protected by the national government. Under the Biden/Harris administration not only are they protected, but they receive from $600 to $1600 per period for debit cards under the exile Cash Assistance program and have access to all public aid programs available to US citizens.
Since the beginning of 2020, a temporary employment company in Springfield has been actively bringing Haitian refugees to our city. First a fewer hundred, then thousands. There are Facebook pages created by people reporting accidents involving Haitians. The number of overturned cars reported all day on the streets where velocity limits are 35 miles an hr or less... would shock you.
A year ago, a Haitian stopped in front of a school bus, causing it to overturn, throwing out children and causing the death of an 11-year-old student.
Our region wellness department has seen an increase in HIV cases over the last 5 years. Based on their numbers, we will scope an increase of 871% over the last 5 years. The nurses have confirmed that there is nothing in the full wing of our regional infirmary but Haitian HIV patients.
The transportation caregiver reports that 70% of all scheduled imperial cuts concern Haitian women who cannot have birth naturally due to HIV.
Over the same period, tuberculosis has increased by over 500 %.
Our national Qualified Healthcare (FQHC) called Rocking Horse is overwhelmed by the increase in the number of Haitians who are automatically qualified for Medicaid services.
Our public safety officials have confirmed that allegations against most Haitians who break the law are almost immediately dismissed due to deficiency of interpreters... This means that courts are incapable to supply a fast trial, so they are simply arrested and released.
The local leaders, the region and the state are overwhelmed by complaints that small they can do about the repair.
Last month, a group calling themselves "The Blood Flame" marched alongside the Jazz and Blues Festival, carrying large flags with swastika and rifles. Their leader appeared last week at a gathering of the city commission and publically warned the mayor of the impending "barbarity" if he did not halt Haitians' migration into our community.
I told you I was bringing bad news.
Let me tell you, this isn't about race. As the grandpa of 7 children... 5 of them are wonderfully loved children of different skin color, but I can assure you that it has nothing to do with the race or the colour of someone's skin.
I realize these people are fleeing a "hell" country ruled by gangs. They're grateful they're here. But our community simply is incapable to cope with the influx of 20,000 fresh residents who do not realize our language, our culture, our rights and are treated (my opinion) as slaves to the contract.
The bad news is that the current administration has allowed millions of people to cross the border and (in this case) even come to our country. Our communities in Ohio are just beginning to full realize the impact of the past 4 years. Your community could be next.
Now, good news. The good news is the answer lies in your hands as voters. The good news is something's gonna change in Washington. The good news is the election of Bernie Moreno as our next Ohio Senator. The good news is Donald Trump's return to the White House. The good news will come in 60 days, erstwhile we get our country back, we will seal our borders, and we will reconstruct reason to the United States of America.
