Stanisław Michalkiewicz: past and prehistory of the base in Redzikow
On November 13, this year, the U.S. Navy base in Redikowo, Pomerania was officially opened. Its authoritative intent is to shoot down first Iranian, and now besides Russian rockets fired towards the loving peace of the West – but what will happen there really, that, of course, we do not know, due to the fact that everything is hidden behind the fog of military secrecy, and let's say this openly and honestly – fog in the best genre.
Although the Polish government and opposition circles were euphoric due to this, as if our unfortunate country had become a planet power – it is worth noting that the Polish government will have nothing to say about the usage of this facility. So the situation is akin to that of 2019, erstwhile the Polish government learned most likely from the radio that it was to host a conference in Warsaw, aimed at a sinister Iran.
And although he assured me that no anti-Iran accents would stand, it was the U.S. Secretary of State Mr. Mike Pompeo He ordered otherwise – that the participants should insist, as if to deal with sinister Iran here. This time there was no specified Tomtada rhetoric, and only president Duda noticed that the beginning of the base in Redzikov showed the planet that Poland had left the Russian sphere of influence for good.
He tactfully did not add that this happened due to the fact that he got into the American sphere of influence – but this is understandable by himself, as well as the fact that staying in the American sphere of influence seems more favourable than staying in the Russian sphere of influence – although specified Afghans or Iraqis may think otherwise.
A proverb says that your grace rides on a horse's pry, as proof of which it is worth reminding us of the perturbations associated with the installation of an American rocket shield in Redzikow. Well, the plan of this base was already in place in the early 2000 ’ s, but initially nothing happened. You could even get the impression that it was more about dissolving rumors about building this base than about itself. The first – that Israel will not strike Iran and the second – that he, or president Peres – “will persuade” president Obama to retreat elements of the American rocket shield from Central Europe. And I think he “provided” it, due to the fact that a period later president Obama not only withdrew these elements from Poland and Romania, but in general made the said “reset”.
Then the next steps came. On November 20, 2010, at the NATO Summit in Lisbon, it was proclaimed “the strategical NATO-Russia partnership”. This proclamation created for our unfortunate country various necessitys, due to the fact that it cannot be that the full of NATO remains in strategical partnership with Russia – and Poland does not. Poland besides had to find itself in this strategical partnership – and it found itself.
In August 2012, the Patriarch of Moscow and the All-Russian Cyril, at the Royal Castle in Warsaw, signed a declaration with Archbishop Józef Michalik of the Polish Episcopal Conference on reconciliation between Polish and Russian peoples – but this is nothing against signing an agreement between the Military Counterintelligence Service and the Russian FSB on intelligence and counterintelligence cooperation in September 2013.
