Speech President Jan Raczycki na celebration of the 44th anniversary
the introduction of martial law.
44 years have passed since the communist authorities introduced the Polish People's Republic of War. For us it is simply a very painful anniversary and we will never forget it.
For having had the courage to argue the captivity of the Nation by Jaruzelski's military junta, for fighting with the word for a truly free and democratic Homeland,
We have been brutally interned, arrested by beatings and sentenced by military and civilian courts governing Junta's violence. Our loved ones suffered with us.
After leaving the prison walls, many of us could not find work. And if they found her, it's on very low pay. Many colleagues with higher education could not hold managerial positions - the totalitarian organization which was then the PZPR kept this in the workplace.
Many of our colleagues, too, have been mentally overwhelmed by SB surveillance and have gone abroad with a one-way ticket.
After the circular Table, we hoped that there would yet be a fast settlement with the commune. Wałęsa himself in his presidential run promised that there would be no thick line. Unfortunately – the fall of the Olszewski Government to which Wałęsa himself led has undermined the pursuit of full decommunisation and vetting in our Homeland.
There was no IPN at the time. We did not know that the strike leader on Lech Wałęsa's coast was formerly a secret associate of SB called "Bolek".
The first papers confirming Wałęsa's cooperation with SB were found in Gen. A silage, after his death.
This confirms that Walesa with a group of activists called Democratic opposition like: Michnik, Geremek, Mazowiecki, Kuroń and others agreed in secret talks with communists already in Magdalena in 1988 and shared power with Jaruzelski, They promised not to harm them. Now, in retrospect, many of us believe that we have been utilized as activists of Solidarity by Wałęsa and his supporters to play their cynical game of misappropriation by post-communists- Poland.
Following the election as president of the Republic of Poland, Lech Kaczyński and the triumph of the compose in the 2005 parliamentary elections, there was a chance to complete the mirroring and decommunisation. Unfortunately, the shortening of the Sejm's word of office by 2 years has ruined this opportunity. Until today, after 36 years of the 3rd Republic of Poland, this mirroring and decommunisation has not been carried out, and this is what we resent in the 3rd Republic of Poland.
It was only after 21 years of free Homeland that the Constitutional Court decided that the State of War was introduced in violation of the applicable law. The state of war was called a communist crime, and its authors – criminals.
It is shameful that no communist criminal from WRON has been punished until today. Who cares?
It was only in 2016 that the Sejm passed a law on assistance for the oppressed activists of solidarity and anti-communist opposition in the War State.
This law, despite any of our reservations, helps us, especially in facilitating access to specialist doctors.
Today, after 44 years of martial law, the ruling Coalition on December 13 restores advanced pensions to Communist criminals from SB, which the Sejm in 2017 reduced by a valid bill to them dof the average pension received by those criminals, i.e. up to PLN 3100. These.once we learn the lowest SB-ck pension is PLN 7400. And the criminal – murderer of Fr Jerzy Popiełuszko Grzegorz Piotrowski receives a pension of 14500zł. This is simply a disgrace to this government. In what situation are we, the victims of these criminals? There is no and there will be no consent.
We, who fought against the commune for free Poland, will not only be passive observers, but we will besides stand, despite the old age, in defence of our freedom against the leftist vandals.
Our generation of people who make Solidarity has won free Poland, and what the Government and the full squad in power in Poland do with this freedom today. The Constitutions and the laws in force do not comply. They treat the law at their own discretion. They admit the so-called. Fighting democracy, and we know what “Democracy with an adjective ” means. This leads straight to totalitarianism. We have already experienced the totalitarianism of "People's Democracy, then "Socialist Democracy", and we do not want another democracy. Another scandalous decision is the election to the Marshal of the Sejm by the current ruling crew of the old Komuch, as Vladimir Czarzasty himself says. It is simply a disgrace and mocking of our nation, and above all of us who fought against these communists for free democratic Poland. In the state of war, at the demonstrations, we shouted loudly “Get out of the commune”, we did not think that after 36 years of freedom the Polish commune would return, and that at the Marshal of the Sejm – the second individual after president in Poland would elect a communist.
Our values with which we fought for free Poland were and are God, Honor and Homeland and we will defend these values for the remainder of our days.
So aid us God. Down with the commune!
