As part of the series “Mentzen grills” Sławomir Mentzen invited both presidential candidates – Karol Nawrocki and Rafał Trzaskowski – to live conversations on YouTube.The aim was to present their positions towards Mentzen's eight-point declaration, which was applicable to the Confederate voters.
Karol Nawrocki: Full acceptance of Mentzen's declaration
On 22 May 2025, Karol Nawrocki, a candidate supported by the Law and Justice, took part in an interview with Sławomir Mentzen.During the gathering Nawrocki signed an eight-point declaration, committing, among others, not to rise taxes, keep cash turnover and argue the transfer of Polish competences to the European Union.However, during the discussion, there were ambiguities, especially with respect to cadastral tax, where Nawrocki did not give a clear position.

Rafał Trzaskowski: No acceptance of declarations and discussion
On May 24, 2025, Rafał Trzaskowski, a candidate of the Civic Coalition, met with Sławomir Mentzen.Unlike Nawrocki, Trzaskowski did not sign the full declaration, agreeing to only 4 out of 8 points, concerning, among others, non-taxing and maintaining cash turnover.During the conversation, Trzaskowski openly admitted that he was a supporter of bringing Ukraine into NATO and the EU, which consequently undermines Poland's safety in relations with the Russian Federation.
