According to a study by the Batory Foundation, voters belonging to the organization forming part of the ruling coalition begin to lose patience over the failure to meet the electoral promises. Supporters of the 3rd Way are peculiarly skeptical of the actions of the fresh government, any of which express fatigue by continuous accounts of the erstwhile administration.
The study entitled "The Hopes of the Demobilized: Social Moods Before the Local and European Elections" is based on qualitative studies, which conducted group interviews with voters of the Civic Coalition, the 3rd Way and the fresh Left, and on 2 quantitative studies.
The qualitative analysis shows that organization voters forming the ruling coalition note changes in the way they exercise power, specified as limiting hatred speech in public space. Although they realize the request to settle the erstwhile team, they have doubts as to the necessity of the committees of enquiry in this case. In addition, they are afraid about unfulfilled electoral promises, specified as guaranteeing reproductive rights, improving wellness protection (including intellectual and psychiatric care) and improving the quality of education.
In quantitative studies, respondents were asked to measure the direction in which Poland is heading. 71% of the Citizens' Coalition voters, 62% of the fresh Left voters and 52% of the 3rd Way voters felt the country was heading in the right direction.
The study stresses that 3rd Way supporters are the most skeptical of the fresh government and at the same time the most demobilised before the upcoming local elections compared to another voters of the current ruling coalition.
"Third Way supporters have reservations about the way changes in public media have been made, and any of them are simply tired of the lengthy settlements and the ongoing conflict between KO and PiS. Politics is not a highly emotional sphere for them, they do not expect, as any KO voters do, revenge on those liable for violating democratic standards, but alternatively their methodical settlement according to the applicable law," the study notes. In addition, it was noted that these voters do not specify themselves as either right or left.
PiS and Confederacy voters negatively measure the direction of change (71% and 70% respectively). The electors of Law and Justice were besides asked whether the group they supported worked as an opposition: 18% felt yes, 19% had a different opinion. According to most PiS voters, this formation will not shortly return to power.
The survey besides asked questions about the European Union. EU membership as something "generally good" has rated 57%, 33% had a neutral ratio and 10% had a negative ratio. erstwhile asked about the impact of the EU on everyday life, the percent of enthusiasts was clearly decreasing – 48% rated it positive, 21% were neutral, the same negative attitude and 11% had no opinion.
