We present the second part of the text on the Association of Christian Culture. Fr Peter Skarga – founded in 1999 by the organization of lay Catholics, acting to form public life in the spirit of the Church's teaching – in accordance with God's law and natural law.
It is impossible to list all those initiated solely by the self-giving and prayer of Donors of publications, lectures, initiatives and activities of the SCH. On the 1 hand, these projects advance the values of Christian civilization, on the another hand – they fight with revolutionary tentacles increasingly tightening our country and erstwhile Christian societies.
With incomparably little resources than any non-governmental organisation appointed and financed by the EU institutions, governments and left-wing foundations; and think tank, The association, together with another organisations inspired by them to counter-revolutionary activities, faces unprecedented, even hysterical attacks from mainstream media, left-wing institutes and state offices, trying to discredit and ban them.
What do these attacks indicate? It should be assumed that the influence Christian or patriotic organizations can exert, at least slowing down the advancement of any negative changes leading to the installation of first "soft totalitarianism" – an phenomenon already occurring in Western countries – and then hard totalitarianism, and in the version of the previously unknown humanity.
"Although the pandemic accelerates, the close of the Ordo Iuris Association named after Peter Skarga leads a crusade against receiving communion by the faithful. This is not the first ideological offensive of this ultra-conservative and influential organization" - the magazine "Politics" outraged in November 2020, writing about actions against giving and accepting Holy Communion on the hand.
"The fundamentalist Catholic law organization Ordo Iuris makes a stunning career under the Law and Justices. He considers it his success to have an abortion illegal due to a birth defect. But there would be no influence of Ordo Iuris, if it were not for the financial and organizational base in the form of the Fr Piotr Skarga Christian Culture Association," the magazine “Gazeta Wyborcza” indicated in the same year.
The number of abusive and slanderous materials that attract the authority of members, employees and consequently the SCH Donors is staggering. It seems that the Adversaries of the Association and associated organizations attribute extraordinary powers to them. global reports, technological studies on the activities and impact of these groups are being produced. Grants are given to journalists who are tasked with identifying and branding the activities undertaken by the SKCh and other, inspired environments.
During the run against Ordo Iuris and organisations defending conventional values in Poland or Europe (as part of a wide-ranging run against the conservative counter-revolution in 2019 – 2022), European pro-abortion activists and promoters of simplifications of alleged sexual minorities indicated that they were frightened by the crucial shift of the window Overton towards the conservative and failure of the benefits of the extremist leftist movement over the past decade. They include the spread of abortion and the legalization of alleged homomarital marriages in any countries or the adoption of children by same-sex couples.
As protests against the Constitutional Court's decision to destruct the admissibility of alleged eugenic abortion continued in Poland in autumn 2020, Neil Datta, a extremist pro-abortion activist, co-worker of the Planned Parenthood Federation in Europe, secretary of the European Forum for Sexual and Reproduction Rights, wrote why the “Polish war on abortion” should concern everyone in Europe.
Datta pointed out that "ordo Iuris organisations have created tentacles in many EU associate States" and "started testing" their program, namely the fight against abortion, the alleged Istanbul Convention, LGBT births, etc.
A left-wing activist, writing on epfeb.org in a post of February 3, 2021, referred to an investigation into Ordo Iuris, TFP and SKCh, which was paid out of a EUR 45 000 grant co-financed by the European Commission, George Soros' Open Society Foundation and respective "philanthropic" organizations, including the Billa & Melinda Gates Foundation. Datta expressed concerns that now each branch of the organizations founded by SKCh and OI “will effort to imitate what has been achieved in Poland. And Ordo Iuris has bigger ambitions.” As the extremist who listened to the EC expressed himself, this could only be “the beginning of the erosion of fundamental rights as a consequence of pseudo-legal processes, first against women and then against sexual minorities. shortly everyone will be concerned," he warned.
The author added that this is besides the beginning of exports of Polish ultra-conservativeism abroad, and that "thanks to the global network Ordo Iuris, what is happening in Poland will not only stay in Poland".
Datta threatened Europeans with the fact that the deficiency of a strong consequence to the "dramamatic changes" in our country, the failure to usage "all available tools to uphold democracy and the regulation of law" - including the deficiency of strong support for the extremist left - will consequence in the advancement of conservative counter-revolution in another countries.
All forces to fight for the ‘central’, or actually left-wing, consensus
The views expressed by the pro-abortionist reflect widespread liberal concerns Think tank complaining that the old "central consensus" has shrunk over the last decade and fresh divisions have emerged.
The American Brookings Institution notes that radicalization progresses not only on the right but besides on the left. As a result, the Overton window was opened more widely, which means that the "acceptable scope of political discourse" in society has been extended.
According to Thomas Wright of Brookings Institution, Overton's European window was somewhat repealed and dominated in the post-cold war era by the alleged centreleft and centreright. In principle, they differed only in terms of taxes and expenditure, but agreed on the request to proceed globalisation processes and to build an open society.
This window opened further over time in consequence to policy failures, including the 2003 Iraq War, the 2008–2009 financial crisis and the 2015 exile crisis.
European citizens, discouraged by many problems, increasingly welcomed fresh ideas, fresh alternatives to status quo. The situation was to be exploited by "radiacles" both on the right and on the left, cleverly utilizing social media communication tools that allowed them to bypass mainstream media closed on certain topics.
That's why it happened. brexit, Donald Trump came to power in the US and the right gained importance in many countries, striking globalization processes, capitalism in the release of Tony Blair and Gerhard Schröder's "ethical socialism". The polarization of public opinion and the reaction of an outraged conservative part of society over leftist radicals: abortion on request, ideology gender, fresh sectoral ethical codes prohibiting, for example, wellness professionals or academics from commenting on circumstantial issues on social media.
When the British ultimate Court in December 2020 in Bell v Tavistock prohibited the administration of pharmacological agents to children inhibiting their natural maturation process and facilitating transit (so-called sex change), the influential American magazine "Foreign Policy" commented that this threatens the safety of not only transsexuals but all "sexual minorities" worldwide. The letter noted that the court, referring to the grounds of the judgement respective twelve times to the question of fertility, revealed a “conservative attitude” and dismantled a strategy that “was intended to give teenagers the chance to find how they wanted to live and look, without undergoing the transformations associated with undesirable puberty.” It was added that "this subtlety has now been erased from British law".
Liberals who ignored the activity of another organizations defending conventional values felt simply threatened. It turned out that what was outside the mainstream media discussion abruptly gained importance. In fact, bottom-up and independent NGOs – not their mock-ups – began to exert more force on political parties. For this reason, the progressives began to fear that the “conservative” groups with which they concluded a “consensus” could abruptly decision “overly” to the right.
As Croatian activist Gordan Bosanac explained in an interview with the progressive CIVICUS organization, it is crucial that conservative organization liberals support that they themselves deal with "right-wing fundamentalists and radicals".
Bosanac, co-author of the case survey on "the rebirth of fundamentalism in east Europe", on the pages of the Global Philanthropy task study "Religious conservatism on the global scene: threats and challenges to LGBTI's rights", expressed his concern about the professionalism of the counter-revolutionary movement and the ability to transnational cooperation and influence global policy.
A postgraduate of the Faculty of Physics at the University of Zagreb and studies on the Centre for Peace Studies room, as well as the University School of London, School of Public Policy, he lamented that the increase in nationalism and attacks on migrants' rights and "sexual and reproductive rights" (abortion, sterilization, contraception) are part of the same phenomenon and are all part of the same global movement that rejects liberal-democratic ideas. Everyone is mobilising against “minorities” or “sensitive groups”.
According to Bosanac, the last turning point in east Europe took place in early 2010. In many cases, this has been a reaction to national political debates on LGBTQI minorities and reproductive rights.
It was then – as he suggests – that organisations specified as TFP, SKCh and later Ordo Iuris were to intensify cooperation at national and global level, regardless of the structures of the Catholic Church, which remained on the second plan.
Old-fashioned fundamentalist organizations have modernised, become more professional, exploit social media and the achievements of democracy, e.g. referendums, or have yet begun writing petitions more attractively. The “conservative movement” was renewed, its fresh leaders were younger and more eloquent, and besides aware of the possible of democratic instruments.
The author of the study was afraid not only about the "attractive Marches for Life", but besides about street actions organized even on a tiny scale, specified as prayers before abortion centres in the intention of stopping killing unborn children or pickets before theatres against blasphemous "arts" etc.
The Croatian activist feared that these organisations would influence the "mainstream conservative party", especially those who are members of the European People's organization in the European Parliament and effort to decision centre-right parties to the right. In order to prevent this, he advocated the fight against the conservative counter-revolution by defaming susceptible NGOs, showing that they are "religious fundamentalists, neo-Nazis who hide their actual faces".
The activist hoped to undermine the authority of the attacked groups, raising suspicions towards them among the public. He besides hoped to track down the “tracks of dirty money” that fed the defenders of conventional values and that “people would react”. He pointed out the key function that “believers who should not accept the abuse of religion for extremist purposes” gotta play. "The believers are the most authentic ombudsmen against fundamentalism, and their voices can be much stronger than the mobilized secular voices or political opposition. However, the problem may be the deficiency of specified groups at local level (...). Pope Francis seriously weakened fundamentalist groups and is simply a perfect example of how spiritual leaders can fight spiritual extremism and fundamentalism" - he stressed.
Bosanac felt that the right-hand activists had to be ridiculed to make them feel lost, due to the fact that this “may rise suspicion” among others. He pointed out that it was besides crucial to defend conservative parties by "progressors" "before extremist attacks, otherwise they would become vehicles of utmost right to power, and then it would be besides late" - he concluded.
His colleague Neil Datta in an interview given in November 2020 and reprinted on 8 February 2021 by “Frankurter Kunstverein” pointed out that “what happened in Poland did not happen due to the fact that Poland is traditionally conservative and Catholic. It's just part of the story. In fact, the direction in which the country is heading is the consequence of targeted actions by certain individuals and organisations, operating not only at national but besides at global level."
He was afraid that akin organisations were created in another countries: Estonia, Slovakia, Switzerland, Croatia and the Netherlands. He fears that the conservatives operating there will become as active as in Poland as in Ordo Iuris, which gained advisory position at the UN in February 2017, and registered an office in Brussels in May 2017. In October 2018, it presented an alternate to the alleged Istanbul Convention to the European Parliament: The Convention on the Rights of the Family, as well as a strong global success in the case of Norway seeking refuge from the home welfare office in Poland.
Datta stressed: "We are dealing with a fresh movement that differs from the movement for the household in the defence of life over the last decades, as this fresh movement has professional structures capable of acting at national and global level", in addition to undermining the agreed between mainstream media and parties of the "consensus". He acknowledged that "the mobilisation of these groups against the Istanbul Convention was a surprise to him". "I thought we had reached a broad consensus on force against women, and I never thought we would be active in specified disputes, even in countries that have already ratified the convention," he said.
He added: “We must realize that human rights advancement cannot be taken for granted, things can go back, laws can be abolished... It is so increasingly essential to establish transnational networks between civilian society organisations in different countries to exchange information, due to the fact that 1 thing is certain: if these moves are initiated in 1 country, this initiative will shortly appear in others. The tactics and strategies of these movements are the same, and networking will facilitate their recognition in time," he pointed out.
Having no argument that yet organisations specified as SCH or OI do nothing but what progressive moves: they make networks to accomplish common goals, trying to influence legislative and political processes, he replied that they have the full right to say what they want, but many of these organisations, for example in the United States, are classified as hatred groups, especially towards LGBTQI +. So he appealed to undermine their trust.
Journalists associated with the Reporters Foundation, OKOpress and akin NGOs in the Visegrad Group countries, receiving grants from the EC, as well as the Soros Foundation and Bill and Melinda Gates for alleged independent investigative journalism, on the site vsquare.org compose about an global network of ultra-conservative organizations questioning liberal values in Central east Europe.
Progressors are afraid about possibly more effective moving Overton's window towards them "unthinkable". Hence the fight against the Church and all NGOs, including pro-lifers.
Resistance to the Istanbul Convention amazed the progressives
In December 2021, a comprehensive, 200-page study was created. A Rollback For Human Rights: the Istanbul Convention Under Attack. It concerns alleged reproductive rights and sex equality, children's education, alleged immigrant rights, freedom from force and discrimination, women's rights and LGBT. The survey was prepared by The Advocates for Human Rights with the support of 40 Akin Gump, an global law corp based in the USA. “ Lawyers and employees have devoted thousands of hours to this report, ” notes the magazine. pro bono, including travel to conduct individual interviews". Hundreds of volunteers and interns were besides involved.
The survey stressed that "The Istanbul Convention is an crucial instrument of global law aimed at many people, offering comprehensive measures to prevent force against women and home violence". It received large support from governments, parliaments, NGOs and another actors, and "almost all countries have intensified efforts to prevent force against women and home violence".
However, in fresh years any utmost right-wing groups in Europe have launched systematic campaigns to undermine the Istanbul Convention and block its ratification. any of these groups openly advocate anti-gender policy, while any publically advance supposedly pro-family programs that effectively exclude any non-heteronormative household structures. However, they all support programmes that effectively discriminate due to gender and argue the ratification of the Istanbul Convention. Therefore, this study refers to them, different groups and movements as oppositionIt’s okay. ” The intent of the study was to identify and describe any organisation that opposes ratification of the Convention so that it can be effectively combated (to be addressed), as expressed by ‘they represent a serious threat to the rights of women and children, as well as sex equality, human rights, democracy and the regulation of law’.
It was stressed that the recognition and recognition of "anti-gender" movements would aid to address "damages" caused by them through "joint efforts by governments, civilian society, institutions and global organisations".
Pointing to the SKCh, the OI and another organisations, the study stresses in peculiar the issue of Ordo Iuris presenting the alleged Convention on household Rights and the Pro Familia Declaration signed by the Visegrad 4 States. The above - mentioned papers are written “to be carried out family rights above individual human rights’. This would not only undermine the right of women and children to live a life free from violence, but besides the rights of all individuals, including men, essential for the functioning of democracy. This imagination is completely contrary to the history, spirit and requirements of the Istanbul Convention" - highlighted on page 7 of the report.
Resistance to the Convention was to be horrified by left-wing NGOs, which initially ignored the "absurd" arguments against the fortified global agreement, including the fight against "stereotypic" social roles of women and men.
The study includes recommendations for progressive activists. They are to build alliances with spiritual organisations, combining issues of admission of migrants, "social justice", contraception, "LGBTI rights" or wellness care against the fight against violence. Looking for allies, in peculiar among priests, nuns, conservative lawyers, scientists of various spiritual groups, and supporting the “progressive” women who will come to power, developing cooperation with transnational corporations forcing their employees to train sex (ESG, DEI), cooperating with embassies, lobbying internationally, monitoring and reporting to them about the state of violence.
There is an “ epistemological war” on “human rights”
In December 2022, an influential Brazilian sex activist active in UN negotiations, Sonia Corraa, gave an interview on the "Sur Journal" on the strength of the global ultraconservative movement. She explained that reactionary and ultra-conservative forces, both secular and religious, are undergoing intensive reconfiguration and reorganization in Europe and the United States.
These forces went from "static reaction" to "conservative revolution", becoming the engine of political mobilisation against abortion and gender. There is an " epistemological war" on democratic constitutionalism and human rights. The activist noted that "the anticipation of an extended explanation of human rights did not be erstwhile the Declaration of Human Rights was adopted in 1948". It was thanks to "long and laborious work on human rights as a supranational political programme and post-war democratic constitutionalism" that the catalogue of human rights was extended and "this position is presently under attack and must be defended".
In another words, conservative movements have been successful, awakening people's consciences and initiating anti-gender and anti-abortion counter-revolution. At present, however, the fight is moving to a new, higher level, coupling and launching in the fight "with counter-revolutionists" all available resources at the disposal of the global left. And there is no illusion: modern conservatives must fight an highly hard conflict to impose totalitarianism of the 21st century.
