SINGAPORE– Best Southeast Asian carrier Singapore Airlines (SQ) has enhanced its lounge offerings at New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) by partnering with Capital One’s newly opened flagship lounge.
This marks a notable improvement for Business Class and PPS Club travelers previously assigned to lower-tier options like the Air India Lounge (JFK) and HelloSky.

Singapore Airlines (SQ) has long faced a fragmented lounge setup at New York’s JFK Airport (JFK).
With no dedicated lounge of its own, the carrier relied on third-party spaces, ranging from the well-regarded Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse to less-favored facilities like the Air India Maharaja Lounge.
However, a significant upgrade has now arrived with access granted to the highly anticipated Capital One Lounge, which opened in June 2025 at Terminal 4, MileLion reported.
The new 13,500-square-foot facility is the largest in Capital One’s network. Starting immediately, Singapore Airlines will allow access to this premium lounge for the following passenger categories:
- First Class
- Business Class
- Solitaire PPS Club and PPS Club members (regardless of cabin)
Guest privileges vary: First Class and PPS Club travelers may bring one guest flying on the same SQ flight, while Business Class passengers are not extended guest access unless they hold a qualifying Star Alliance Gold status.

Located on the departures level of Terminal 4—between Gates A and B and just below the Centurion Lounge—the Capital One Lounge is open daily from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. From July 17, 2025, it will operate 24/7, with limited access during off-peak hours.
Capital One describes this space as “a bold tribute to NYC,” featuring:
- A Central Park-inspired dining area
- A Manhattan-style cocktail bar curated by Death & Co
- Art installations by New York-based artists
Passengers will find:
- Shower suites
- Tarmac views
- High-speed Wi-Fi
- Ample charging ports and workstations
The F&B offerings include:
- Ess-a-Bagel hand-rolled bagels
- Locally sourced espresso and cold brew
- Grab-and-go items like salads, wraps, and pastries
- A cheesemonger station with selections from Murray’s Cheese
- A rotating hot menu with dishes like Berkshire pork shank with pea risotto
At the bar, travelers can enjoy custom cocktails themed around NYC boroughs and exclusive brews like the Skyscraper IPA from Brooklyn’s Grimm Artisanal Ales. Champagne is available for purchase, with labels ranging from $48 to $150 per bottle.

With the inclusion of Capital One, Singapore Airlines now uses four lounges at JFK. Access depends on the class of service and loyalty status:
