Macron didn't give the details of the call.
Earlier on Monday, Russian president Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation with US president Donald Trump.
The conversation lasted more than 2 hours. Putin called her informative, sincere, and very useful. He said he expressed his gratitude to Trump for his U.S. participation in resuming direct talks between Russia and Ukraine. Putin said Russia is ready to work on a memorandum with Ukraine that includes a possible ceasefire.
Trump stressed that his telephone conversation with Putin went very well. He besides said that Russia and Ukraine would immediately start talks on ceasefire and conflict, noting that the terms of the ceasefire could only be discussed by both sides of the conflict.
