Documentary Serial ‘Neighbours’ by Jack Meaty He won the title Best Documentary Film in the spring edition of 2025 prestigious International movie Festival Milan. This award not only strengthens Międlar's position as a documentaryist, but besides opens his production door to compete for the main prize of the festival in the final edition to be held February 2026. It's a large deal. Thanks to its successes in abroad festivals, the planet learns about the silenced and lied-to Ukrainian genocide in Poles, and Międlar shows that without subsidies from governmental and non-governmental organizations, it is possible to make a documentary series in 8 language versions, which are appreciated by filmmakers around the world.

Victory in the spring edition means that ‘Neighbours’ will be presented during Festival gala in Milan in February 2026., in the presence of filmmakers and judges from all over the world, including European countries, USA, China, Canada... The movie Miedlar will compete there for the title of the best documentary of the year.

In early May 2025, little than 2 weeks before the announcement of the Milan victory, the first episode ‘Neighbours’ received besides honorary award at 1 of the documentary festivals in Sweden. Earlier the series was appreciated at another festivals, as we wrote about HERE.

"Neighbours" is simply a three-part documentary series by Jack Międlar, in which the main characters, i.e. respective twelve Witnesses of Ukrainian genocide in Poles attest about relations with Ukrainian neighbors. 1. episode in 8 language versions is already available on the net (HERE) and on DVD (HERE)
