On the 83rd anniversary of the Treblinka Uprising, I laid flowers in a place that will forever be a symbol of the Holocaust of European Jews and 1 of the top crimes in human history. It is our common work to remember the victims and the prisoners who have committed themselves to the act of heroic resistance.

Treblinka is simply a symbol of unimaginable suffering, but besides the courage of those who, despite their awareness of almost certain death, decided to resist. Their courage remains a lesson to us that dignity, solidarity and opposition to hatred are crucial even in the darkest moments of history. We remember and remember![]()
