As part of the first phase of the truce between Israel and Hamas, steps were taken towards peace, a full of 1904 Palestinian prisoners will be released, in exchange for the release of Israeli hostages who were kidnapped by Hamas on October 7, 2023. This historical agreement could be the beginning of the conflict between the 2 parties.
Big Turn in Conflict
According to the correspondent of the Times of Israel portal, Emanuel Fabiana, Israel will release 737 safety prisoners, including many terrorists serving life sentences for murder, members of Hamas, Palestinian Jihad and operating in the Palestinian Fatahu Autonomy. In addition, 1167 Palestinians detained in the Gaza Strip will be released on the ground offensive of the Israeli defence Force, who did not participate in the attack of 7 October 2023.
Women and Children First
On Sunday around noon, the first 3 women from among the 33 Israeli hostages are to be released to regain their freedom in the first phase of the truce. The remaining 30 people will be released by groups each Saturday for a further 42 days. As part of the agreement, for all surviving hostage, kid and aged person, 110 Palestinian prisoners will be released, while 50 prisoners will be released for being held in the Gaza Strip.
The communicative of the 2 hostages
In exchange for Awer Mangitsu and Hisham al Sajeda, who have been hostages in the Gaza Strip for 10 years, for each of them the Israeli prison will leave 30 prisoners. Additionally, in exchange for these 2 hostages, 47 Palestinians who were traded in 2011 will be released, but were recaptured by Israeli forces.
Bodies of dead hostages
The bodies of the deceased hostages will be listed on the another Palestinians covered by the agreement. This is simply a symbolic motion to aid strengthen the peace process.
Exchange mechanism
Hamas announced on Saturday that the hostage exchange mechanics would depend on the number of Palestinian prisoners released by Israel. The list of prisoners leaving the prison will be published the day before the exchange – this Palestinian organization passed, citing an agreement concluded on 15 January with Israel.
War and its consequences
The war between Israel and Hamas follows the attack of this organization and the coalition of muslim militias supporting it on the judaic State, which was carried out on October 7, 2023. More than 1.2 000 people were killed in the massacre carried out by terrorists, including citizens of more than 30 countries, and 251 people were abducted to the Gaza Strip.
Result of the military operation
As a consequence of a military operation that began in consequence to the attack, over 46,000 civilians were killed and more than 100,000 were injured. The Gaza Strip is ruined, it has a humanitarian crisis, and most residents had to flee their homes.
