‘And the witness is that God has given us eternal life,
And this life is in His Son. He who has a boy has life,
And whosoever hath no boy of God, neither hath life“
Think of the Word of Life and answer the following questions:
Who gives eternal life?
Where do we find eternal life?
Who has eternal life?
Who has no eternal life?
The Word of Life is followed by another verse: ‘O I wrote to you, who believe in the name of the boy of God, so that you may know that you have eternal life.” — 1 Jn 5:13.
Here it is clearly said that we who believe in the name of the boy of God are to know that we have eternal life. Not that we have them after we die, but that we already have them, though here on earth by faith, but we already do. Eternal life will be full achieved only after this test of life.
If individual asked you, “Do you have eternal life?” what would you say? If you answer, “I don’t know”, you do not trust on God’s Word. If you believe and accept Jesus, you have eternal life. If you were baptized as a child, you must believe as an adult due to the fact that Jesus says: “He who believes and receives baptism will be saved.” There is talk of religion in Jesus Christ.
Of course, through dense sin and hardness we can lose eternal life, so we must always repent and let Jesus reign in us.

When we repeat the Word of Life regular in these 2 weeks, it would be good to find a minute of time, scope to the Scriptures and look for the quotations indicated. For the family, it would be perfect if, for example, the full household gathered on Sunday evenings, took the Bible and read God’s word according to the questions asked.
