Realism in the Times of An existential Threat

Supporters of political realism in Poland present stand at an highly problematic crossroads. It is easy under these conditions to have cognitive dissonances, a sense that their own attitude dangerously approaches romanticist idealism, ordering them to face the merciless modes of history, trying to turn a stick around the run of the raging political stream of the river.

Poland found itself in the geopolitical region of close control of the Anglo-Saxon nucleus of the alleged West. There's no place to consider whether it's good or bad. Comparing the subordinateity of the past East with the present subordinateity is possibly intellectually interesting, but it concerns an inconclusive issue affecting the civilisational identity of Poles. And this, as we know, traditionally is characterized by a tragic tear, a suspension between 2 worlds, sometimes leading to desperate attempts to bring to life a 3rd world, own. Therefore, we will not effort to answer the question to which planet is closer to our hearts. It is worth doing something else: an assessment of attitudes towards the reality around us.

We are clearly negative about the story of the alleged cursed soldiers. Not only because, as evidenced by the investigation of any historians and the transmissions of the dramatic witnesses of the years after the war of Poland, many of them were common massacres utilizing chaos in a ruined country, which after years had earned ideological motives. From the point of view of political realism, the inferior among them were those who were guided by truly completely detached ideals. The presumption that a tiny group of incendiaries may change the geopolitical judgments of Yalta and Potsdam, as unwarranted belief in the imminent outbreak of planet War III and the readiness to place on the balance of their lives in the name of a fantasy of overthrow by a couple of forest branches of the russian colostrum dominant over a large part of Europe, is simply a denial not only of political realism but of the most common sense.

And here's the question: isn't it akin today? Do not the structures of the subjection of Warsaw, this time the Anglo-Soms, constitute a mechanics so powerful that any thought of questioning them, stopping them from running, must be caught by a romanticist dream? Is it worth going against the current in a situation where taking even average criticism of the prevailing orientation leads at best to ostracism and occupation loss, and at worst – to being behind bars and even physical threats to your own wellness and life? Is this a manifestation of reasoning in terms of political realism?

After all, individual can say that the geopolitical reality must be reconciled, as they reconciled with it after planet War II Bolesław Piasecki, Aleksander Bocheński, Stanisław Mackiewicz and many another extraordinary minds. Since we have the time of Anglo-Saxon hegemony over our part of Europe, it may be worth acknowledging that it is essential to make usage of the gaps created by it, to give the human face to the Compradorian government in the hope of its evolution?

No, not under these conditions. Firstly, the increasingly drifting towards a totalitarian government usually in the planet of "its own", licensed realists does not need. Secondly, we face a threat of an existential nature from a national point of view, acting under conditions of trying to drag us into a war that could mean the physical demolition of not only the state but besides the Polish people. Thirdly, the thought, the word, the message is simply a weapon much more effective than “forest men” rifles. No sane individual present could call for activities outside the legal order in force. Combating omnipresent censorship and, more often, in the world, trying to benefit from the rights of all citizen guaranteed by the Constitution, we do not go underground, but call for compliance with the principles established not by us, but by the strategy itself.

Therefore, realism present means wise, thoughtful intellectual resistance, spreading thought and reflection. Even at the price of repression, due to the fact that there is not adequate time, far besides small time to effort to adapt and change the government from the inside. In case of disaster, we can at least say with a clear conscience that we tried to inform about approaching the abyss.
