Last year in Jelenia Góra – Cieplice there was a break in the floodbank, which caused a wave of speculation. There have been allegations that the shaft was intentionally dug by the owner of the luxury vacation Park & hotel Resort hotel Cieplice Zdrój, Piotr Stalk. The D.A., however, dropped the investigation. What precisely did the investigators say?
Decommissioned investigation – no evidence of intentional action
The Regional Prosecutor's Office in Jelenia Góra initiated an investigation into the interruption of the floodbank on 15 September 2024. The allegations active excavating the culvert utilizing a excavator, which could have caused flooding of surrounding areas (Article 164 §1 k.k.).
