An expert in sociology, Prof. Jarosław Flis, from the Jagiellonian University, assessed the debate of presidential candidates held in Koński. In his opinion, Szymon Hołownia did best, while Rafał Trzaskowski and Karol Nawrocki did not satisfy the expert. In his statements, Prof. Flis stated that the rivalry of the candidates in the election resembles wrestling, where only winning is important, not honest discussion.

In the debate attended by 8 candidates, Rafał Trzaskowski (KO) and Karol Nawrocki (PIs) were most frequently mentioned as favourites. However, as Prof. Flis stated, Trzaskowski has a problem deciding whether to be good or militant, which may affect his image. In turn, Karol Nawrocki “returns to his own bubble”, meaning that his message is directed mainly to his own supporters alternatively than to a wider audience.

Simon Holovnia, as a candidate of the 3rd Way, did the best, according to an expert. However, as Prof. Flis stated, “he runs from specified a weak position that he does not know if it will aid him”. The Hołównia has a good chance of taking 3rd place, which, as Prof. Flis stressed, is “not awarded any medal”.

The debate in Konski was 1 of 2 debates held on Friday evening. They were attended by 8 candidates, including Magdalena Biejat (New Left), Maciej Maciak (Prosperity and Peace Movement), Marek Jakubiak (Free Republicans), Krzysztof Stanowski (journalist) and Joanna Senyszyn (b. MP of the SLD).

According to the IBRiS poll, 32 percent of respondents believe that the debate in Koński was won by Rafał Trzaskowski, while 28 percent of respondents stated that Karol Nawrocki had won. The another candidates took lower positions.

Prof. Flis stated that debates are important, but they do not necessarily mean that candidates will learn something new. "At least any candidates – I have the impression – inactive talk to their organization bosses. The most crucial thing for them is that the bosses like it," he said. The expert believes that debates should be more specialised so that candidates can present their views on individual issues.

It is worth noting that the 2024 presidential elections will be highly crucial due to the fact that they will find the future of Poland. Therefore, candidates should effort to present their programs and visions to the country and not just focus on the Saturday show. As Prof. Flis stated, "this is not a real conflict just a rivalry who will make a more dangerous face, who will come up with a more absurd play". Therefore, voters should carefully measure candidates and their programs in order to choose who best represents their interests.
