Presidential Elections 2024: Rafał Trzaskowski and Magdalena Biejat on the Mobilization of the Electorate

Soon we can anticipate a joint message from the candidate of the Civic Coalition (KO), Rafał Trzaskowski, and Deputy Marshal of the legislature of the fresh Left, Magdalena Biejat, concerning the second circular of presidential elections. As Vice-President of the fresh Left, Anita Kucharska-dziedzic, said, politicians met on Monday and talked about electorate mobilisation.

"It is not a simple presentation of support, it is essential to respect electoral and voters," said the candidate KO.

Magdalena Biejat, on Monday's entry on the X platform, thanked for the over 829 1000 votes she received in the 1st circular of the presidential election. "The results of the election show that more than always we request a strong, sincere and focused on the values of the Left. The left hand, which is not afraid of Braun, Mentzen and Nawrocki, does not give way to the far right," Biejat added.

The ultimate Executive Committee of PSL has already unanimously supported Rafał Trzaskowski as a presidential candidate. Sławomir Mentzen, on the another hand, is expected to study on support before the 2nd circular on Tuesday at noon during a press conference.

According to authoritative PKW data, candidate KO Rafał Trzaskowski received 31.36 percent of the votes, supported by PiS Karol Nawrocki – 29.54 percent. This means that Trzaskowski and Nawrocki will face the 2nd circular of presidential elections on 1 June.

The 3rd place was taken by the Confederate candidate Sławomir Mentzen – he obtained 14.81 percent of the vote. Behind him was excluded from the Confederacy Grzegorz Braun with a score of 6.34 percent. The following places were placed: candidate of the 3rd Dear Simon Holovnia with a score of 4.99%, candidate Together Adrian Zandberg – 4.86%, candidate of the fresh Left Magdalena Biejat – 4.23 percent.

It is worth noting that the results of I rounds of presidential elections show that the mobilisation of electorate will be crucial in the second round. Therefore, both Rafał Trzaskowski and Karol Nawrocki must concentrate on bringing voters to the polls. According to the Central Statistical Office (GUS), there are over 38.6 million people surviving in Poland who can vote in the presidential election.

* Magdalena Biejat (New Left) – 4.23% of votes

In the 2nd circular of the presidential election will be distributed over 18.5 million votes that did not go on candidates who dropped out in the 1st round. Therefore, both Rafał Trzaskowski and Karol Nawrocki must concentrate on bringing these voters to their ranks.
