Police are starting a fresh protest

– General Board of NSZZ Police has unanimously decided to launch a protest action – said in Talk to the portal nfoSecurity24.plHead of NSZZ Police Rafał Jankowski. “Instead of dialogue, our demands were consistently rejected, ignoring the needs and expectations of police officers” – handed over the Press Office of the Police. As it was reported, due to the deficiency of consequence of the Warsaw government to the demands, a nationwide protest action was launched.

Police are starting a fresh protest due to the fact that they have had adequate of how their authorities treat them. NSZZ Policemen explains that the decision to initiate the protest action was made in connection with the instigation by the Minister of Interior and Administration of the demands contained in the resolution of ZG NSZZ P No 56/VIII/2024 of 19 November 2024.

“For many months we have been trying to talk to the government, calling for improved working conditions of police officers, for adequate salaries, and for increased resources for the improvement and modernisation of uniformed services ... Our demands were reasonable and responsible, and the aim of our actions has always been to find solutions that are beneficial to both the officers and the full society. We wanted police officers to have decent conditions for their hard and liable service" – explained in the Communication.

According to NSZZ Policemen, “despite repeated meetings, attempts to negociate and readiness to compromise, the Ministry of abroad Affairs has shown no desire to actually solve problems”. “Instead of dialogue, police demands were consistently rejected, ignoring the needs and expectations of officers. The Communication besides stated that although talks were held in good religion on the part of the uniforms, the government remained firm and ignored their conclusions.

“The protest will proceed until the authorities show their willingness to make serious negotiations and take real action to meet our demands” It's been stressed.

Head of NSZZP Rafał Jankowski explained that the management of the Ministry of abroad Affairs claimed that he would settle any crucial things in 4 basic areas. It was mainly about wages and working conditions.

– All these treatments just fit into what the erstwhile government teams were doing. I do not want to callback the fresh cases which have echoed loudly all over the country, but it is impossible for the police to just "stick on more patches" in the situation today. We request strategy solutions. Otherwise, we'll shortly be threatened by a 1990s bandit. We will face a situation in which people will anticipate help, but they will not receive it in time, due to the fact that they will have no 1 to conduct these interventionssaid Jankowski.

Currently police are facing serious staff shortages. This service has many responsibilities and risks, but it does not affect besides much money. At the same time crime is increasing in the country, mainly immigrant.
