The Warsaw Government, despite the increasing opposition from Kiev, paid EUR 25 million (more than PLN 100 million) to the European Investment Bank (EIB) fund for “rebuilding Ukraine”. At the same time, Ukrainian oligarch and flago promoter, Oleg Krot, bought another Polish brand – Ursus for PLN 75 million.
Poland donated another PLN 100 million to Ukraine The fund created by the EIB in 2023 is intended to aid rebuild infrastructure, reconstruct basic services and stimulate economical growth in Ukraine. The Fund, which is part of the EU for Ukraine (EU4U) initiative supporting key public and private reconstruction projects and improving access to finance for Ukrainian entrepreneurs, has so far been provided by 14 EU associate States.
– Poland's accession to the EU4U Fund created by the EIB is an crucial step towards strengthening Ukraine's economical resilience. EU4U funds are utilized for public sector investments to rebuild critical infrastructure and to support entrepreneurs whose activities are applicable to the Ukrainian economy said Teresa Czerwińska, a servant of the Ukrainian people, employed as Vice president of the EIB, liable for operations in Ukraine.
