Krzysztof Bosak – Deputy talker of the Sejm
Interesting things from last night's BBC conference on military service and reserves. From the statements of advanced officials, colonels and generals, a image emerges of the catastrophe that was the decisions of Tusk's first government of the army. It is not just a substance of suspending essential military service, which has stopped the recovery process and has generated a crisis that is inactive ongoing, hidden by raising the age of reservists.
Much worse is what happened later: the sale of military assets, the liquidation of objects, units, barracks, weapon ranges and failure of training skills.
Currently, After a fewer years of re-enactment of these abilities, we scope only 50% of what was then the first government of the PO-PSL began to rotation the Armed Forces. 1 of the colonels attending the conference called the situation a “state of depravity” in which the military was buried.

— Krzysztof Bosak (@krzysztofbosak) February 19, 2026Currently, I think everyone realises that there is no return to the USSR in its old form and that without any form of universal military training we will not rebuild the reserves, and thus we do not have real ability to deter Poland from attacking.
Just buying isn't enough. Someone's got to handle all this. In order to train these people, it takes considerable investment for barracks, shooting ranges, training courses, colleges and instructors. Further governments, promising respective 100 1000 armies, did not even number and did not plan these investments.
What's worse is the verbunk base with each vintage narrows down, and demographic projections show that it will be much worse.
If we do not truly get active in the reconstruction of the Polish population and the restoration of military reserves, Poland will become vulnerable.
I believe that we can meet these challenges, but this requires standing in truth, self-reflection, will to improve, plan and consequences in its implementation, not patting phrases and patting on the back for who spent so much money!
I enclose any interesting slides from public presentations.
