Cocaine French president Emmanuel Macron was humiliated by the awkward situation during the conversation with Turkish leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan at the margins of the European Political Community summit in Albanian Tirana,” stated French organization leader Patriot Florian Philippot in an entry on platform X.
Turkish media highlighted Macro's failed effort on Saturday to establish "psychological dominance" over Erdogan.
“Macron wanted to make Erdogan wise, he ended up humiliated!” wrote Philippot on his website on social media X.
The episode with the presidents was captured on cameras during a gathering of the European Political Community in the capital of Albania, Tirana. Macron approached Erdogan, sitting at the table, and put his hand on the arm of the Turkish leader, followed by a conversation that was not heard on the recording.
Erdogan immediately took his hand, but held Macro's 2 fingers. The president of France was able to release 1 finger from Erdogan's grip, but the Turkish leader held Macron's second finger for at least another 10 seconds, smiling and not standing up from the chair. The leaders yet ended a short conversation through a translator, and Erdogan patted Macron's hand, and the second sidelined.
