Shocking reports from journalists Health Market and Virtual Poland have revealed that pancreatic cancer patients to receive modern treatment in National Medical Institute of the Ministry of abroad Affairsthey had to deposit after PLN 20 000 as donations to a hospital-based foundation.
"Pay or get worse" – shocking recordings
According to the investigation, Prof. Marek Durlik, the head of 1 of the infirmary clinics and president of the Institute's technological Council, was to require patients to contribute to the foundation. Those who did not deposit were operated in a conventional way, giving worse therapeutic effects. The procedure continued from at least 2022 to 2024.

The Ministry of abroad Affairs responds: The material went to CBA.
After the publication of a journalistic investigation spokesman for the Ministry of abroad Affairs Jacek Dobrzyński reported that the recordings of 2023 were transmitted Central Anti-corruption Office.
– The State Medical Institute of the Ministry of abroad Affairs ensures that it never demands any medical fees from anyone. By decision of the Minister of the Ministry of abroad Affairs, control will be directed to the hospital – he wrote on the platform X.
Meanwhile Prof. Durlik defend himself, claiming that “He had no thought he was doing something wrong”but at the same time admitted that “The full current directorate knows that patients had to contribute to the foundation so that they could execute a robot operation”.
