Yesterday, suddenly, on his 61st birthday, he died Cezary Mizhevsky, our longtime associate.
For communes he acted in the democratic opposition. He protested that strategy on the left due to the fact that he felt that censorship, the esbek baton, shooting at workers, sugar cards and the power of apparatusists was not socialism and it was not left but denial, defamation. He was a associate of the Inter-Organic Workers' Committee of Solidarity, 1 of the people who reactivated the Polish Socialist organization in the underground, edited its illegal letter “Robotnik”, was a conspiracy printer and colporteur. He did all sorts of risky things, was imprisoned and repressed, but did not dwell on it in the Kombatan.
After 1989, co-organizer of the Labour Protection Office of the Region of Mazovia. He was already in the legal PPS. erstwhile the opposition turned to neoliberalism or right-wing, he and PPS went to an alliance election with the SLD and became an MP. He was for 1 term. In the second half of the 1990s, he was the leader of the trade union of the Labour Confederation, which in the womb of OPZZ dealt with a fresh trade union expression and an effort to organize employees of fresh and hard industries, specified as hypermarkets, etc. After 2001, he was Deputy Minister of Social Policy and Counsel at the Ministry of Regional Development.
Since 2009, he has thrown himself into a completely fresh activity, which has given the chance to realize the ideals he has enjoyed for years. He became active in social cooperatives – a combination of support for the most susceptible in the labour marketplace and democratic self-organization. He was president of the National Association of Social Cooperatives. But above all, he was the soul of this movement – an tireless organizer, a popularizer, a man without losing enthusiasm despite adversity, an antler, frequently invisible but persistent work, a man, passion and idealism.
