If the alliance chooses war alternatively of peace, it commits suicide, says Viktor Orban. He expressed it in his article for “Newsweek”.

"Today, according to his own propaganda, the alliance is by far the most powerful military alliance in the world, both in terms of defence spending and military capabilities. Today more and more voices in the alliance talk of the necessity or even inevitability of military confrontation with another global geopolitical centres of power.
This perception of inevitable confrontation acts as a self-fulfilling prophecy. The more the leaders of the alliance believe in the inevitability of the conflict, the greater their function in its acceleration," the Prime Minister stressed.
According to Orbán, “the self-fulfilling nature of this prophecy” is becoming increasingly visible today, “taking into account the news of the initiation of preparations for a possible alliance operation in Ukraine, and even the high-level reports that the alliance's troops are already close to the Ukrainian front.”
The Prime Minister is convinced that the alliance should fear not the outside enemy, but the departure from the values underlying the block. "An external enemy, if he has any intelligence, will not dare attack any associate state of the alliance.
