Ukrainian Ambassador to Poland Vasil Bodnar said on Sunday in an interview with Ukrainian portal Suspilne that "Ukrainians who became victims of the Volyn tragedy in Poland will besides be honored".
According to Bodnar, Ukrainian and Polish parties are “fruitfully working” on this. – With the agreement of the parties, we do not disclose the results before reaching certain circumstantial agreements and starting work. This is simply a two-way road. It covers a very large set of issues relating to existing legislation, existing government and coordination of certain places (burials – ed.) on both sides of the border said Bodnar.
The Ambassador added that in addition to the Polish side, Ukraine is besides working on this issue with the Ukrainian Organization in Poland. – Together we identify burial sites and communicate with the Polish side. I can say that there is simply a very constructive and applicable dialogue – he noted.

Please note this sentence: "Ukrainians who have become victims of the Volyn tragedy in Poland will besides be honored".
Not for the first time the Ukrainian side calls the genocide that the Ukrainians have committed in Poles, it calls “the Volyn tragedy”. Almost everything can be considered a tragedy – from accident, natural disaster, plague, to victims of any unspecified fuck or misunderstanding. For years, Kiev has been telling the communicative that there was no genocide in Volyn, but either a regular guerrilla war with Germany and the Soviets, or a civilian war. Earlier in the public space, Ukrainian inflections appeared as if the Germans had executed Poles in Volyn. Currently, the NKVD is liable for the Volynian slaughter, according to Kiev.
The second point is to propose that Ukrainians were equal victims of Volyn like Poles. Of course – Ukrainians killed their compatriots, who either helped Poles hide from the flag fire, or were Poles related, possibly bound by holy matrimony. However, it is not the same scale as in the case of the number of Poles murdered, but at most the minimum percentage.
Third issue: Ukrainians in Poland. In my opinion, this is simply a clear mention to the slogans proclaimed by neo-branders as though the confederate east lands of Poland "belonged" to Ukraine and Poland should return them as shortly as possible.
I have reasonable suspicions that this 1 conviction includes the full Ukrainian historical policy regarding Volyn. If it turns out that in Poland the bodies of Ukrainians who died at the hands of their compatriots 80 years ago will be found, the Ukrainians will strengthen the communicative about the “Volyńska tragedy” which is the aftermath of an indeterminate civilian war in which the Poles and the Ukrainians died, and also, since the Ukrainians were able to find bodies in the territory of the 3rd Republic of Poland, this is proof that they belong to Ukraine.
The Polish Ministry of abroad Affairs should respond as shortly as possible to this stunt by Ambassador Bodnar. But will this happen?
