In 2025 customers will be able to store on 8 Sundays, of which 3 are due for December. This is the consequence of the Trade regulation Act on Sunday, which was introduced in March 2018. As of 2020, there are exceptions that let trade on the last Sundays of January, April, June and August, on the Sunday preceding Easter and, from 2025, on the 3 consecutive Sundays before Christmas.
When will the purchasing period start on Sunday?
The Sunday buying period will start on January 26. On that day, all commercial establishments, including grocery stores and buying malls, will be open. It will be the first chance in 2025 to store on Sunday.
