Since 4 March 2025, a fresh regulation of the Minister of wellness has entered into force, which aims to improve the registration of specialists. The fresh strategy is intended to destruct long queues and improve accessibility to wellness services. Clinics and counselling are now required to keep appointment schedules for appointments, which will let patients to get the essential medical assistance more quickly.
The fresh regulation of the Minister of wellness introduces the work to keep patient admission schedules in the central application AP COLCE, made available by the NFZ. Thanks to this, data on saved patients and free dates will be collected in a single system, allowing easier management and planning of visits. In this system, you can find up-to-date data on the waiting time for specialists and the number of people waiting on a national scale.
To date, the fresh strategy has been covered by 4 specializations, but since 4 March 2025 this list has been extended to another 8 areas. The strategy will include: urology, neurology, nephrology, ophthalmology, tuberculosis and lung disease, otolaryngology, diabetes and gastroenterology. The work to keep separate letters will enter into force on different dates, from 1 May to 15 June 2025.

The Ministry of wellness estimates that the fresh strategy will let to increase the number of first-year visits by around 20% during the first year of its operation.
