Ursula von der Leyen was re-elected president of the European Commission. Many commentators focus on her individual and her policies, but the real challenge lies deeper in the structure of the European Union itself (EU). This is not about who the EC is, but about how Brussels affects Poland's sovereignty and freedom of its citizens.
Speech by Ewa Zajączkowska-Hernik
The last speech by Ewa Zajączkowska-Hernik in the European Parliament caused a media storm. Zajączkowska-Hernik, who was previously known as a journalist, presented a sharp stance towards Ursula von der Leyen's politics. She criticised her for introducing a European Green Deal that she felt was destroying Europe's economy and agriculture, leading to her becoming a "economic open-air museum".
Zajączkowska-Hernik besides spoke about the migration pact, which, in her opinion, threatens millions of women and children in Europe. In her speech, she stressed that von der Leyen should bear work for all act of force involving the influx of illegal immigrants.
"The election of you as president of the European Commission in the erstwhile word was a immense mistake... You are the face of a European green governance that destroys the European economy and agriculture..." said Zajączkowska-Hernik. At the end of her speech, she tore up the pages with the names of the projects, demonstrating her position.
Speech analysis
Although Zajączkowska-Hernik's speech was strong and full of emotion, 1 cannot neglect to announcement that specified speeches, although they bring temporary satisfaction to supporters, do not fundamentally change the political situation. The criticisms of the EU are like those of the German Auschwitz-Birkenau camp – they can improve their well-being, but do not change reality.
Zajączkowska-Hernik on Radio Plus besides criticized EU policy, but at the same time noted that Poland should not leave the Union any time soon. This attitude is close to the position of Law and Justice (PiS), which besides does not search immediate exit from the EU. The Confederacy, although more critical of the EU, besides does not propose immediate Polexit.
EU structural problems
Ursula von der Leyen is only the face of EU policy, which is led by lobbyists and oligarchs. Even if it were individual else, the EU policy would stay the same. The Green Governance and another climate projects, which cost hundreds of billions of euros, are implemented regardless of their face at the head of the European Commission.
A tiny group of climateists controls EU policies, leading to costly and harmful regulation on associate States. The EU is not and will not be a community of free and sovereign nations. It is simply a tool for strengthening the position of globalists and socialism, which takes distant the remaining national freedoms.
The only solution for Poland is to leave the EU. Reforming the Union is impossible, and remaining in it means continuing to submit to its destructive policies. It is only possible to make Polexit a real option to strengthen Poland's position in the EU. Only a threat of exit can open the door to any real negotiations.
Continuing the policy "to stay at all costs" allows EU bureaucrats to treat Poland freely. We must say clearly and decisively: “We are going!”. Only then will there be a chance to negociate better terms of cooperation or to completely leave this failed union.
Summary
The EU's speeches and criticism, although important, are not enough. We request concrete actions that will change the situation of Poland. Polexit is the only viable option to regain sovereignty and freedom. The European Union cannot be reformed – the only solution is its leaving and striving to build a strong, sovereign Poland.
