During a ministerial gathering of the Alliance in Brussels, Mark Rutte stated that it was not time to discuss the diplomatic resolution of the conflict in Ukraine. In this way, the late held secretary-general of the organization referred increasingly to the publically discussed concepts and plans of peace reported by various politicians, primarily American – from the environment of Donald Trump.
Although Rutte did not regulation out peace talks, he said that it was not yet the right time to conduct them. On the 1 hand, he stressed that it was Kiev that was to decide whether to start the negotiation process, but on the other, he called, in fact, to the West not to start any forms of dialog with Russia.
Let's not discuss peace
"Let us not discuss at all turn what the peace process may look like... Let us first make certain that Ukraine has everything it takes to take a strong position erstwhile peace talks begin" – He said Rutte.
How would Kiev gain this position? Of course, according to the Dutch Secretary-General of NATO, by means of armed action to change the situation to the front in his favour. The next arms supply is simply a condition. "I would say that more armed assistance is needed and little discussion about what the peace process could look like" He appealed.
Rutte versus Trump?
Rutte’s position is far removed from reality. Firstly, the West is no longer able to deliver arms to Kiev, due to the fact that it has mostly disarmed itself as a consequence of erstwhile mass deliveries. Secondly, Kiev no longer has mobilization capabilities. Plans to mobilize an additional 160 1000 soldiers into the army are shortly to be inserted between fairy tales. This is why the organization of war in the West (primarily the surroundings of president Biden) has been urging the Ukrainian authorities for respective weeks to lower the threshold of age mobilisation to 18 years.
Rutte as the erstwhile Liberal Prime Minister of the Netherlands is simply a typical of this war party. Interesting how he will behave after taking office by Donald Trump. I'm certain we can anticipate friction on the NATO-Washington line.
