On June 23, a 27-year-old Colombian citizen on a bicycle brutally ripped a wallet of 950 gold and papers from a 34-year-old woman's hands.

The escape was interrupted by a witness to an incidental that caught up with the perpetrator on his bike in the area of the railway station and held him until the police arrived. The unsub's in jail, and they're threatening him with 8 years.

More and more services in smaller cities and on the outskirts of metropolitan areas pay attention to incidents involving South American foreigners. Although each case is individual, summarising these events can be said of an expanding problem that requires coordinated information and prevention.

On the night of June 21 on June 22, police were called to the home where residents heard noise. It turned out that the burglar was a 32-year-old citizen of Colombia – he threw the stolen items out the window. Thanks to civic detention, the man was handed over to a uniform and drugs were besides found on him. The U.S. Attorney's investigating burglary and possession charges now.

A fewer days earlier, in the municipality of Pleszew, a Colombian citizen broke a judicial ban on driving and got into a car – a breathalyst test showed more than 1.3 ÷ alcohol in his blood. After the citizen detains a 29-year-old, he will answer for driving intoxicated.

In Toruń, however, there was a dramatic assault in the Glasia Park: a 19-year-old citizen Venezuela tried to kill a 24-year-old female passing through with respective stab wounds. The witness and police responded rapidly to capture the perpetrator within the hour; he is now facing even life imprisonment.

At the Medici border crossing, Border defender officers detained a 36-year-old Brazilian citizen trying to transport a luxury Audi A5 Avant worth over PLN 300 1000 outside the EU with a counterfeit photocopy of the registration certificate. A marijuana-like plant dried bag was besides found in the trunk.

Although the scale of these crimes does not contact (yet?) the tip of general criminal statistics, the expanding cases involving foreigners from South America pose a challenge to local services and communities.
