On 15 November, a tragic event occurred in Szczecin, resulting in the death of a 21-year-old soldier from the 12th Szczecin Mechanized Division, shot to death. The individual liable for that shot explained that she had confused the soldier with the wild. Turns out she had high-quality hunting equipment.
In connection with this incident, the police detained 2 men who were charged on Friday. According to the territory Attorney's Office in Szczecin, the evidence gathered allowed for the charge of manslaughter, non-enforcement and vulnerability of another persons to the immediate danger of life. In addition, the defendants were accused of poaching.
It should be noted that the court has not decided to hold a provisional detention for a fishy in the shooting of a 21-year-old. The second detainee heard allegations of non-help and poaching. It was subject to property guarantees and police supervision.
The press spokesperson for the Polish Hunting Union, Wacław Matysek, explained that the place where the tragedy occurred is not a hunting area but within the administrative limits of the city of Szczecin.
Additionally, the detainees had no connection to the hunt at the time. Investigators have determined that their regular work is to control and destruct boars in urban areas. It is amazing that specified an incidental occurred, especially given that this place is not a typical hunting area, and the detainees were not associated with hunting at the minute of the tragic event.
It wasn't just a gun.
According to the Service in Action, the weapon utilized for the shot had advanced equipment specified as thermal and night vision. It is worth noting that the incidental occurred during dusk.
Security services have found weapons and precise shooting optics, which together are worth up to PLN 300 thousand. The huntsman who fired the shot confessed. It caused the court not to decide on his temporary detention. Evidence was collected, and in the case of a suspect, there was no fear of harassment or attempted escape.
The fishy may be liable for manslaughter, for exposing others to life or wellness risks, and for not providing assistance to injured soldiers and poaching. She's facing 5 years of imprisonment. A second individual may face trial with a three-year prison threat.
With respect to the details of the case, it is worth noting that this situation is very delicate, especially in the context of the usage of weapons in the evening. It is possible to consider stricter procedures for the usage of specified weapons at dusk. In addition, the specified admission of guilt by 1 of the suspects may affect the further conduct of the proceedings.
