More Georgian criminals detained

Police officers from the Provincial Police Command in Poznań have detained 3 Georgian citizens suspected of a series of large sums of money stolen from convoys carrying a popular marketplace chain. Men aged 57, 47 and 34 were arrested in Warsaw and heard allegations of burglary. They're facing 10 years of imprisonment.

At the end of last year there were 2 cases of theft of crucial sums of money from convoy vehicles receiving receipts from stores of the retail chain. An investigation conducted by Poznań police officers, in cooperation with the territory Attorney's Office in Poznań, led to the selection of suspects. All leads led to Warsaw, where a detention operation was carried out last Thursday.

Investigators found that the detainees could besides be liable for the theft of almost half a million zlotys in Wrocław, which occurred on 29 November last year under the marketplace on Zieliński Street.

There is presently an analysis and verification of akin cases, especially those recorded in Wielkopolska. There are serious suspicions that the same group is behind these thefts.

The detainees were presented with charges of burglary and the court decided to arrest them temporarily. The case is developmental, and investigators do not regulation out the extension of charges to further acts.
