Miller: Premature triumph

myslpolska.info 7 months ago

Radosław Sikorski at a joint press conference with the head of the Ministry of abroad Affairs of Ukraine Andrij Sybiha presented a passage of the agreed communication as follows:

"Ukraine confirms that there are no obstacles to the conduct by Polish state institutions and private entities, in cooperation with the competent Ukrainian institutions, exploration and exhumation work in the territory of Ukraine in accordance with Ukrainian government and declares its readiness to deal positively with requests in these matters".

Some of the delighted Polish politicians and commentators did not pay attention to the key words in this text, saying that search and exhumation works will be carried out "in accordance with Ukrainian legislation". Meanwhile, the Ukrainian Parliament passed the Act on the designation of the legal position of participants in Ukraine's independency struggles in the 20th century, acknowledges members of the Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists and Ukrainian Insurgency Army as fighters for Ukraine's independence, and provides for criminal sanctions for showing them a "disconcerting relationship", i.e. denying the criminal and fascist nature of these formations.

And it is impossible to exhume without indicating murderers who are protected by a peculiar law in Ukraine. So if it was triumphantly announced in Poland that there were no more obstacles to conducting exploration and exhumation work in Ukraine, then nothing happened.
