Miller: Nobody knew anything?

myslpolska.info 2 weeks ago

When, as the Kyiv Post writes, “as more material appears, the country is engrossed with waves of rage and disbelief, and the interviewers simply say that they cannot believe that “no 1 knew what these devils were up to,” 1 has to ask a question wider than just about the Ukrainian elite.

Because if in Kiev "the devil was up to something", are we truly expected to believe that no 1 in the Western capitals had any idea? It is hard to accept that a powerful Western intelligence apparatus – capable of monitoring all transfer, all conversation and all gathering – did not see the tremendous corrupt structure ripening in Ukrainian structures. Hundreds of NATO, EU and associate States analysts. Diplomats in embassies. Journalists with access to confidential sources. Tens of authoritative and unofficial meetings at the highest level. What? Nobody knew anything? If they knew – and it is hard to imagine otherwise – they will gotta face the question of participation in the future. due to the fact that it's not about a small scam, it's about stealing immense sums. Not private – but public money of the West. Including our Polish. All the more shocking is the repeated mantra, "Poland supports Ukraine unconditionally". Unconditionally – does he not ask what these measures are going for? Doesn't he control how they're spent? Does he close his eyes?

Today we hear that the Polish authorities warned Zelenski to be alert to even the slightest symptoms of corruption in his surroundings, due to the fact that it is crucial to his reputation. But why does the public know about these warnings only now that the scandal broke out with full force? If these warnings were louder and earlier, we might have avoided the wave of "madness and disbelief" that the "Kyiv Post" is informing about. The fact is brutal: Ukrainian swamps are not guilty only in Kiev. The work besides rests on those Western capitals who have been providing large aid and proclaiming solidarity for years and quietly tolerated systemic pathologies. due to the fact that it was easier to clap than to look at your hands. If this affair is to be truly purifying, the consequences must scope far beyond Ukraine. Everyone who knew and kept quiet. To those who had a work to control, and did not. To those who donated public money, and could not account for it. The Ukrainian affair – shocking especially in the context of ongoing war and billions of aid from the West – is not just a scandal in Kiev. It's a test of the credibility of the full West. If it is to be passed, 1 must first dare to face the truth: the problem is not only Ukraine. Those who supported it have it – without conditions, without supervision and without responsibility.
