Archbishop of Berlin Heiner Koch praises Pope Francis. It is about the adhortation of ‘Amoris laetitia’, which met the expectations of German progressives.
On March 19, 2016, Francis announced the adhortation of "Amoris laetitia", which he wrote in the spirit of German Cardinal Walter Kasper. Kasper promoted the admission to Holy Communion to any divorcees in reunited relationships, even if they were not clean. This was to take place on the basis of the decision of conscience. Francis accepted this solution and included in his text, both erstwhile it comes to divorcees themselves, and erstwhile it comes to building a fresh doctrine on conscience. “Amoris laetitia” was met with a large reception in Germany, so the peans in honor of this paper on the 10th anniversary of its publication cannot be surprised.
Archbishop of Berlin Heiner Koch stated that ‘Amoris laetitia’ is simply a paper that ‘indicates the way’. Thanks to it, the pastoral ministry of families and marriages was "re-directed". According to the metropolitan of the capital of Germany, the Francis paper “encourages the Church to accompany couples throughout her life, from preparation to marriage, through the celebration of the sacrament, to companionship in the regular difficulties of surviving together.”
He adds that “the association concerns all couples”. Archbishop Koch is simply a proponent of the blessing of same-sex couples, in his archdiocese he gave his consent to this even before Pope Francis's “Fiducia supplicans”.
