The National Day of Memory of the Cursed Soldiers is approaching with large steps. all year on March 1, we commemorate anti-communist soldiers and the independency of the underground, who, after the end of planet War II, did not lay down their weapons and to the end fought for sovereign, free Poland. For the righteous Poles they are a symbol of integrity, courage and faithfulness to the military oath. The soldiers of the Cursed are our large heroes – people who in the most hard times were able to place honor and love for the Homeland above their own safety.
Their dramatic fates, many years of persecution and the sacrifice of their lives show how much they paid for their opposition to the imposed system. Today's memory of them is an expression of gratitude and respect for those who have remained faithful to the thought of independence. It is besides a commitment for subsequent generations to care for freedom and historical truth.
As he says Jacek Międlar, journalist, author of books and creator documentary series about Ukrainian genocide in Poles: – May our memory and gratitude accompany those who, against all odds, with religion and courage, fought for independent Poland. Today, too, we Polish patriots are frequently cursed by lying prosecutors, militias and the strategy of the 3rd Republic of Poland – but like them, we must stand by the truth, religion and love of the Homeland..
On that day there will traditionally be a march towards their remembrance. The march will begin at 6 p.m. in Freedom Square and will end at the Monument of the Non-violent Soldiers located on the square at the confluence of Borowska, Gliniana and Dyrekcja streets. The common march will not only be a form of commemoration, but besides a manifestation of attachment to the values which the faithful Non-violent Soldiers remained: God, Honor, Homeland.
One of the most many groups of the day will be fans Silesia Wrocław. For years the cheering community has been actively participating in patriotic events, stressing that love for the club goes hand in hand with love for Poland. We encourage everyone to participate in this event and to celebrate the memory of the Cursed Soldiers.
