The tragedy at the University of Warsaw shook the full city. On Thursday (8 May) a 22-year-old law student, armed with an axe, attacked a 53-year-old porter and safety guard. The female died at the scene and the unsub was detained by the police.
“The Killer”, “death for death” – scary inscriptions on the flat door
"Super Express" journalists reached the block where the attacker lived. There were vulgar and dangerous inscriptions on his premises, including: ‘killer’, "Death for Death", ‘zero taxes on specified goods* Oh, my God *‘ and "Deep". Neighbors say they don't know who left them.
– He seemed very strange. I didn't like the look of him. It's so quiet, it's like it's locked inside. I've never heard of him before. I haven't seen him much. Strangely enough, he always entered the flat through the garage. It amazed me. said 1 of the neighbors.
Another resident added: – Yesterday, erstwhile we found out it was him, we were shocked. He was a small unusual in his looks, but we didn't think that would happen.
The prosecution will analyse the demolition of property
The press officer of the capital police informed ‘Super Express’ that "the question of taking a circumstantial announcement and action and of combining the demolition of property with the inscriptions that appeared on the wall rests on the hands of the prosecutor".
University of Warsaw in mourning
Due to the tragedy, university authorities announced Thursday (8 May) a day of mourning. Classes were canceled, and black flags were displayed on the campus gate. The message states: "UW society has suffered a large tragedy".
