Letter from the president of ZTG Sokół in Poland to participants of the 3rd legislature of Polish thought Clubs in Cedyna.

Polish thought Clubs,

With deep religion I address you as president Association of Gymnastic Societys “Sokol” in Poland about active engagement in the activities of the Gymnastic Society “Sokol”. In these uncertain times, erstwhile Poland faces challenges that endanger its identity and future, The Falcon remains 1 of the last organizations that not only survived the storms of history, but has proved its effectiveness in building a strong nation.

Founded in 1867 in Lviv, “Sokół” became a forge of human resources and an outbreak of independency aspirations. During the period of captivity, forming generations ready to fight. Thanks to our organization, organized sports and scouting movement in Poland was created, and The falcons of the staff effectively fought for the borders of the Second Poland in 1918–1921, among others in the Wielkopolska Uprising and Silesian Uprisings.

After 1989, in the face of democratic change, we reactivated activity with unchanging energy. On January 10, 1989, the first postwar nest in Warsaw was registered, and on March 1, 1990 the Union. Today, we concentrate nearly 80 nests in Poland and abroad, including the USA, Lithuania and Canada. Like our predecessors, we can boast of successes, including large events specified as XI Chrobrowski Gold in Brodnica in June 2025.

For over 150 years of existence we have survived bans, totalitarianism, and hostile invaders to stay today 1 of the last organizations with national provenance with a sober look at Polandwhich at the same time remains a guardian of principles and values specified as regular work for Poland, athletics and patriotism. Thanks to this bridge between the past and the future. I am convinced that these are besides those qualities that connect us to the Polish thought Clubs. The future for Poland is not good. The deep demographic crisis, including primarily birth, emigration and uncontrolled immigration, threatens the existence of a nation. I believe that in the coming hard times we can become together the last base of common sense and a signpost that will guide Poland in the right direction. Therefore, I encourage you to work together, this last effort, which may prove to be the last hope for Poland.

I warmly greet all participants of the Polish thought Clubs convention.
Long live Poland!
President of ZTG “Sokol” in Poland Damian Małecki
