Former Prime Minister Leszek Miller did not leave a dry thread at the Friday presidential debate in Konski. In a sharp comment, he assessed the candidates' performances, pointing to the mistakes of Rafał Trzaskowski, the surprises of Joanna Senyszyn and the performance of Karol Nawrocki
The debate in the sports hall in Koński (Świętokrzyskie province) was attended by Rafał Trzaskowski (KO), Karol Nawrocki (PiS), Szymon Hołownia (Poland 2050), Magdalena Biejat (New Left), Joanna Senyszyn, Marek Jakubiak, Krzysztof Stanowski and Maciej Maciak. The event was conducted by journalists of TVN and Polsat and organized by the staff of Trzaskowski.
The gathering itself had an different run. The KO candidate sent invitations a fewer hours before the debate, so many participants did not arrive. There were besides amazing moments erstwhile Nawrocki presented the rainbow flag to Trzaskowski – the KO politician put it on the ground, after which Biejat raised it, saying: “I am not ashamed of this symbol”.

Leszek Miller in social media summarized the debate as "political theatre, Stanian flash and unexpected resurrection".
"Last night's debate showed everything in Polish politics the most interesting, unusual and... the most predictable. Although emotions were not lacking, 1 of the key questions after the event remains: who actually had something to gain and who – only to lose?” – he wrote on the X platform.
The erstwhile Prime Minister criticised Trzaskowski's decision to participate in the debate despite a clear advantage in the polls. Miller appreciated the speech of Krzysztof Stanowski, who in his opinion "played the function of a Stańczyk – and was authentic in that". 1 of the top surprises he called the return of Joanna Senyszyn: “If it holds a speech and does not fall into excessive autopararosis, it may surprise again”.
He besides positively assessed Simon Holovnia ("blitzy and media-trained") and Magdalena Biejat (“correct, substantive and calm”), although he stated that in today's debates it is not adequate to break through stronger personalities.
Charles Nawrocki's assessment was completely different: “Charles Nawrocki’s attitude is simply a classical example of political tunnel vision. Focused almost exclusively on attacks against Trzaskowski, he forgot that the scene was full of another players. specified a strategy, although it may appeal to a tough electorate, looks somewhat grotesque in the debate to present programmes and visions of the future".
"Political Plankton" and Zandberg missing
The remainder of the candidates Miller called "political plankton": "No clarity, no idea, no presence – both in the debate and in the audience's awareness. They disappeared in a crowd of words and had problem getting attention for a while.”.
He criticised separately the absence of Adrian Zandberg: "The policy, which is large in specified debates, has not started. Very foolish”.
Is this the start of a real campaign?
In conclusion, Miller stated that the debate did not change the arrangement of forces, but showed crucial trends: "The main players gotta deal with provocations, the function of an ironicist can be an electoral asset, and the long-lost can inactive come back with a tug. The question is, was it a warm-up – or was it the real beginning of the run battle?”.
