L. Sikulski: Sovereign Realism vs. American Colonialism. Polemics with Krzysztof Balinski

I read the article entitled "It's not help, it's a bluff" by amb. Krzysztof Baliński, who appeared on 12 November 2024 on the portal wWrawo.pl. It is hard to disagree with the author's message that the aid provided to Ukraine by the US serves primarily the United States itself. It's obvious.

However, it is equally hard to get to the agenda in the face of the innuendo and the apparent lie contained in the article. Krzysztof Balinski wrote:
"It is actual that Dr. Leszek Sykulski, president of the Safe Poland organization (who opposes the granting of unconditional military assistance to Ukraine and warns against an organized decision of Ukrainians to Poland) promised specified a calculation and even announced the appointment of a peculiar squad for this purpose, but was engaged in combination, as if to place the Communist organization of China in power in Warsaw".

The author himself points out that the political environment I represent clearly opposes unconditional aid Ukraine and protests against the change in the cultural structure of the Polish state, on the another hand there is simply a small elegant innuendo, ending his argument with an apparent lie.

The Safe Poland organization together with the Front organization established in 2023 a squad that not only estimated the assistance provided by Poland and Poles to Ukraine from the beginning of the war, but besides publically presented it on 9 July 2023 at a demonstration in front of the Ukrainian embassy. During this demonstration, entitled ‘Niedziela of the Ukrainian Account’, the authorities of both parties presented a symbolic bill for the Ukrainian government of EUR 75 billion, i.e. in the figure of about PLN 336 billion (according to the table of NBP No 130/A/NBP/2023 of 7 July 2023). The expert squad of both parties has so much assessed the full aid not only of the state but besides of the Polish people, including in the final valuation not only the financial assistance of the Polish state, donated military equipment, fuel from Polish refineries, training costs of soldiers and officers from Ukraine, social assistance costs, wellness care costs for citizens of Ukraine, but besides the costs of accommodation in homes and private dwellings, individual aid, materials provided by non-governmental organizations and private individuals or public collections organised in "Help Ukraine". It is so not actual to insinuate that our political environment has deviated from specified calculations.

Writing about the fact that "[Sykulski] dealt with the combination, as if to put the Communist organization of China in power here in Warsaw" is simply a lie that otherwise fits well into American propaganda, trying to make Poles sick with the strategy of multi-vector policy, which I advance both personally and among the wider political environment (Safe Poland, Front, etc.).

My geopolitical thought (a strategy of sovereign realism) is based on the presumption that Poland should avoid unilateral dependence on powers specified as the United States, China or Russia. Instead, I call for the improvement of relations with different partners, both in Europe and beyond (Global South, BRICS+) to minimise the hazard of dictatorship from 1 power. Diversification of the directions of cooperation does not mean a break with the West, as the Atlantic propaganda tries to present, but a rational balance between the influences of the West, which has now departed far from the roots of European civilization. Building economical cooperation with China, e.g. through the Belt and way initiative, should so happen in isolation from ideological influences. It is worth noting here that the policy of the PRC does not impose an ideological matrix on its trading partners, unlike US policy. The strategy of sovereign realism, which I promote, is based on values of Latin civilization, from which the alleged collective West has long departed. Assigning me the view of "putting the Communist organization of China in power in Warsaw" is simply a gross lie, having no cover in either my views or the political environment I represent.

The treatment of Poland as a colony of the USA, and so the suppression of any attempts to change the strategy of abroad policy of the Republic of Poland, is characteristic of the mainstream policy pursued over the Vistula River. I am amazed at Ambassador Balinski's engagement in specified shallow narrative, which goes in addition to manipulation and apparent lies.
