Culture for invoice

And that's where sadness begins. due to the fact that it's not about the 50 thousand. It's 71 million that the legislature is giving to support the Polish people. Sometimes with sense and sometimes with momentum. due to the fact that it's easy to confuse London with Land-Health, literature with agitation, and culture with politics.

The foundation, whose communicative resembles a thriller's script alternatively than a fairy tale of good dialogue, has been emotional for years. erstwhile associated with the Burak Juice, erstwhile with various activists who like the exclamation point more in dialog than the comma. And yet – delight – he gets another money. due to the fact that the paper will take everything, especially the grant.

And so culture became a victim again – this time not deficiency of talent, but deficiency of control. erstwhile funds are to be ‘for the Polish people’ and they are to be ‘for politics’, it is no longer a patron. This is temper sponsorship. And this, ladies and gentlemen, doesn't odor like culture. It smells like PR.

And culture doesn't request propaganda. She's quiet, but audible. Gentle but durable. It has a power which cannot be entered in the ‘project circumstantial objectives’ column. Culture is erstwhile you stop, smile, think. Not erstwhile you click "promote post".

And so I think to myself – with a small irony, but besides with tenderness – that if the legislature truly wants to support Polonia, let it start by supporting honesty. Otherwise, this 71 million PLN will proceed to finance not London, not culture, but political hatred in a elegant setting.

Too bad. due to the fact that culture – the real 1 – does not request a grant. All he needs is simply a presence. And a small silence.
