According to Krzysztof Bosak, the draft budget for next year is simply a worrying document. He declares that power is increasingly lighter with its public spending, expanding the country's debt – and rising costs do not affect investments. It's a misdirection, according to the president of the National Movement.
The Sejm began work on Thursday on the draft budget for next year. – What is noticeable and what confirms our diagnosis is that the Polish state, whether during the erstwhile government or the present government, is increasingly recklessly, increasingly recklessly, increasingly moving towards irresponsible fiscal policy. A policy of spending money lightly on very different purposes, and justified, and completely unjustified, on credit, at the expense of state debt – commented on the draft budget of the Deputy talker of the Sejm.
According to Krzysztof Bosak, the state is presently "indebted disproportionately to its own volume, its own financial market" and increases abroad debt to "stack further budgets".
As the politician added, the view of the Left that greater public debt means the improvement of the state is wrong. – This is simply a naive story. The more public debt we have, the greater the share of the costs of servicing debt in the budget, alternatively than improvement expenditure – said the Confederate leader.
Bosak stated that the communicative that debt allows improvement policy to be created is "so false that a very crucial part of the expenditure that politicians here in the Sejm are adopting is not a developmental character" but a "just social character". – We can analyse whether they were needed or not... but all this is not mostly improvement expenditure said the head of the National Movement.
According to Krzysztof Bosak, "the more the implementation of the budget depends on debt in the home and global financial markets, the little power the democratically elected government has in Poland, and the more power the financial markets have with global institutions that can dictate the principles of debt."
The Confederate politician besides pointed out that "the service of the State Treasury debt itself will cost PLN 75 billion next year", i.e. "75 billion PLN will be paid only for interest" and –Pure profit of financial institutions that lend us – commented the MP. It is most likely better that we spend specified money on investments in Poland, e.g. bankrupt wellness care, construction of railway lines, construction of CPK (...)", he added.
The leader of the Confederation pointed out that between 2012 and 2022 the budget deficit only erstwhile exceeded the amount of PLN 50 billion – in 2020, in the first year of the Covid-19 pandemic. The draft budget for the next year – Bosak stressed – "is presented with a deficit amount six times higher, i.e. PLN 290 billion".
– The increase in the budget deficit is alarming, due to the fact that last year it was little than 200 billion, which is simply a 50% increase in the deficit year to year Bosak said. – If we increase the budget deficit by 100 billion all year, where will we be in the 10's? The balance of the gold deficit? – the MP asked.
The draft budget bill for 2025 assumes that next year the gross of the budget will amount to almost PLN 632,85 billion and expenditure will scope PLN 921,62 billion. The deficit is expected to scope a maximum of PLN 288.77 billion. The task assumes, among another things, a 7% wage increase, 5% budget increase, 3.9% economical growth and 5% inflation. Defence spending is expected to scope 4.7% of the projected GDP.
